Built for RFS, expanded to the Baltics! The Eurocups simulator now includes not only every club in Latvia, but also teams from Lithuania and Estonia! 🇱🇻🇱🇹🇪🇪

Exactly two weeks until the June 16 draw! That’s the day @RFSDaily finds out its first opponent in the upcoming European campaign.
To mark the occasion, I’ve launched the Euro Simulator on https://t.co/X27PFb31F9. You can use it to simulate possible draw outcomes: who RFS might face in the first round and beyond, how each matchup could play out, and what the overall chances are of making it through each round.
📊 You can also run up to 100,000 simulations at once to get a bigger-picture look at the odds.
⚽️ Try it out and see who RFS could be playing this summer!
ℹ️ Team lists for each round and the qualification format are based on data from @kassiesa. Team strength ratings are based on @EuroClubIndex data.
I got so inspired by yesterday’s simulator that I decided to build a bigger one - this time for every Latvian club!
After all, every successful European run by one of our clubs helps move Latvia higher in the UEFA coefficient rankings. So when it comes to Europe, we’re cheering for all Latvian teams 🇱🇻
➡️ Jump in at https://t.co/eQq5SpHaCD, generate a draw for your favorite club, and see the odds by running up to 100,000 simulations in just a few seconds.
The simulator will keep getting updated for as long as at least one Latvian club is still in European qualifying. I’ll be adding the actual draw results, match results, and everything else along the way.
Can’t wait for European football to begin! 😍

MOMENTS is live on https://t.co/X27PFb3zuH, just in time for its 4th birthday! 🎉
Today is a special day for me: https://t.co/X27PFb3zuH turns 4. And I’m really happy to celebrate it by launching a new section on the site - Moments 🥳
📹 It’s a collection of some of the biggest moments in @RFSDaily history, now in a short-video format. The first goal - against Metta at Hanzas in 2016. The first trophy - the 2019 Latvian Cup final in Jelgava. The first league title - that rainy November day in Daugavpils in 2021. Big European nights against Ajax, Galatasaray, Anderlecht, Gent, APOEL and others. Wild finishes like the comeback in the Faroe Islands, Belfast 2022, the 2023 title race - and a lot more!
📲 The idea is simple: you can go through RFS history the same way you’d scroll through Shorts or Reels.
So, four years in, https://t.co/X27PFb3zuH now has:
📊 advanced stats for almost every match, except for the games that weren’t covered by any data provider;
🆚 detailed season stats, so you can compare RFS with other Virslīga clubs;
👤 player comparisons - for the current season and across all-time RFS numbers;
📈 player ratings and performance trends, which make it easy to follow how a player is doing over time;
↕️ Trivia, which is still one of the most visited pages on the site. It’s a game where you guess which player has more or fewer goals, assists, or appearances. There’s also a classic quiz mode :)
⚽️ scoring for every official match, plus season histories, tournaments, opponents, stadiums, player pages, coach pages, and probably a bunch of other things I’m forgetting right now;
📹 and now, short-video Moments :)
When I launched the site in 2022, I honestly had no idea it would grow into something like this 🥹
Thank you to everyone who has supported the project over the past four years. Every repost, like, comment, and kind word really does mean a lot!
And of course, I’ll keep building 🙌
I'm super excited to reveal what I've been working on for the past few months: https://t.co/oZib60589s
Stats of ALL matches, players, managers, stadiums and more since the first Virslīga campaign in 2016
A quick look at this week’s https://t.co/X27PFb31F9 updates:
✅ Player ratings are no longer limited to matches from this season and last! Virslīga matches now go back to the 2023 season, and European competitions are covered from the UECL-22/23 group stage onward - that's when data providers started covering Latvian club matches with the player ratings.
📈 Thanks to this update, player profiles now feature a performance graph - so you can track how former players performed across previous seasons, and compare current players’ ratings this year against their past campaigns.
🏆 On top of that, player pages are now decorated with the trophies they've won with the club. Fun fact: Roberts Savaļnieks and Cedric Kouadio are the only two players to have lifted all 6 @RFSDaily trophies - including the very first one, the 2019 Latvian Cup.
🧤 Goalkeepers got some love too! Just like outfield players, they now have their own achievements - for clean sheet milestones (10+, 20+, and 30+). Jevgeņijs Ņerugals leads the pack with the most clean sheets (38) and the highest CS rate (56% of his matches ended in a shutout)!
Head over to https://t.co/X27PFb31F9 and dive in - there’s plenty more to discover about your favorite club! 💙
While checking the most popular section on https://t.co/X27PFb3zuH the other day, I was surprised to find out that it’s the new Trivia game - it gets more visits than the Players section, and even more than the advanced stats section. Wow! 🔥
So, I decided to improve the game a bit by adding some gamification and three game modes: 🟢Easy, 🟠Hard, and… 🔴Brutal - for the most dedicated fans.
Explore @RFSDaily history and make your picks!
Looking through the player ratings on https://t.co/X27PFb31F9 (yes, the app now has player ratings, so you can track how each @RFSDaily player’s form changes over time) it feels like Ismael might be the most promising and consistent player in the team right now.
Despite being 13th overall with an average rating of 6.97, his ratings keep improving from match to match. He’s the only player without real ups and downs - just steady progress and a clear return to form.
What makes it even more impressive is that just a year ago, he made a remarkable comeback to football after a serious injury, having missed 185 days with torn knee ligaments.
Vamos, Isma! 💙
And by the way - there’s also a small update on https://t.co/oZib60589s: a new trivia game is now live!
Guess which player has more appearances, goals, or assists. The database includes every player, match, and goal since 2016 :)
🇱🇻 Congratulations on the Day of the Restoration of Latvian Independence! I’m glad to share this today: https://t.co/3vBDiSmGfm is now available in both Latvian and English.
👪 I’ve also updated the interface and added a new Family section - because an @RFSDaily home game is much more than football: kids’ activities, games, contests, and a great stadium atmosphere.
🐱🇺🇦 Several times a season, RFS also turns regular league matches into themed events - from supporting Ukraine to helping homeless cats @remicentrs and other good causes.
One more good thing: 50% ticket discounts are available for a wide range of groups, including school students, university students, seniors, and people with disabilities. Children under 7 get in for free!
You can check it out and get your tickets here for this Friday’s home game against Liepāja: https://t.co/3vBDiSmGfm. Especially convenient from your phone!

A few new updates went live over the past week! 📈
I’ve been making small UI improvements almost daily, and there have been some bigger updates too. Last week, I added player ratings to the detailed match stats, and now there’s also a dedicated section with ratings from every match this season. You can see who’s been performing best and track each player’s form over time!
There are a couple of smaller additions as well. In the league table, you can now see the date of the next match against each team. Whenever I check the standings, I always find myself wondering when and where the next game against a certain opponent will be - so now that’s all right there on the same screen :)
🎫 And of course, the biggest update was the launch of https://t.co/3vBDiSmGfm. It handled matchday traffic for the Super Nova game without any issues - the site stayed up, and everyone was able to get their tickets :) A special thank-you to @PauliusJakelis and the @RFSDaily season ticket holders for their feedback during the testing phase - it helped me make a few final improvements before the official launch.
⚽️ If you’re planning to go to the Riga derby, don’t wait too long - fewer than 700 tickets are left, and a sellout looks very likely. Your seat is waiting for you at https://t.co/3vBDiSmGfm 😉
I’ll keep improving both projects whenever I can, and as always, I’d love to hear your feedback and ideas for features you’d like to see next :) In June, the app turns 4 years old - let’s come up with something really cool for it!
🚀 https://t.co/X27PFb31F9 is now more than stats!
🎫 Starting today, https://t.co/3vBDiSmGfm is live in beta - a new and easier way to get tickets for your favorite team’s matches.
All transactions are still securely processed through Passportix. This new ticketing site simply makes the process more convenient, letting you choose your stand and section, preview the view, and easily pick the seat that works best for you.
It’s especially useful for fans who buy tickets on their phones, since the site was built with mobile use in mind.
I hope this makes the ticket-buying experience smoother and better for current @RFSDaily supporters, while also helping attract new fans through a simpler and more user-friendly interface.
And of course, don’t forget about the main https://t.co/X27PFb31F9 app - it also just got a few minor UI updates, plus player ratings are now available for every match :)
Tu un Es par RFS! 💙

⏳ Tomorrow’s coming fast!
🗯️ So here’s what Malmö manager Henrik Rydström had to say about our stadium and the way @RFSDaily plays.
Quoted from his interview with the club’s official site – figured you’d wanna see it 👇
…on being in Riga:
– It’s not like we’re super focused on the weather, but hey, it doesn’t hurt that it’s warm and sunny. We’re playing at a small, cozy stadium tomorrow — feels pretty homey, especially for someone like me who’s more of a small-town guy. The pitch looks good too, so hopefully we’ll be able to play some solid football.
…on the opponent:
– They’re a defensively solid team, built to win through counterattacks and set pieces. In Europe, they’ve mostly played a 5-3-2 with three really big center-backs — two of them are around two meters tall. They’ve got a big striker, a tall holding midfielder, and two more midfielders who are almost two meters as well. Physically strong and tough to break down. But we know there are always opportunities — every style of play has its weaknesses. For us, the key is to avoid falling into a game where we’re just lumping long balls toward their back line. Instead, we need to move the ball, stay mobile, and force them to run and defend deep.
…lessons from playing RFS during the training camp in December:
– One thing that really stood out was their defensive intensity. They don’t press high all the time, but when they do step up, they’re aggressive — and there’s a certain edge, a cynicism, to how they play. We got a decent feel for their structure and style. Of course, it’s hard to know exactly, since it wasn’t all the same players — that was back in December. But it’s the same coach, and they’ve stuck with that 5-3-2 shape ever since. We feel pretty confident in what we need to do and where their threats are. That said, we know we’ll need to be at our absolute best to get the result we want heading into the second leg.
…what he wants to see from his team tomorrow:
– Like I said, they’re solid and tough to break down — but so are we. There have been a few games where we’ve sat too deep, though. We’ve got to find the right balance between being hard to break down and still being ready to attack when the chances are there. We need to move the ball better than we did against Öster, for example. We had good control in that game, but I think we were a bit slow moving the ball. Our attacking players need to be super active, constantly making runs forward and getting in behind their back line. That’s what we’ve got to make happen tomorrow.
