My second ever @ONS release with my name on. I now know a lot more about Cornwall (my previous knowledge coming mainly from obsessively watching #Poldark)
We've published a new article exploring the Roma populations in England and Wales using #Census2021 data.
103,020 usual residents in England and Wales identified their ethnic group as Roma (0.17% of the population) in 2021.

71,440 people identified themselves as Gypsy or Irish Traveller in 2021 (0.12% of the usual resident population of England and Wales).

The employment gap between sexes was larger for people who identified as Gypsy or Irish Traveller.
The biggest gap was for those aged 30 to 34 years where 34.8% of females were employed compared with 58.0% of males.
Those who identified as Gypsy or Irish Traveller had a younger age profile.
45.7% were aged under 25 years compared with 30.4% of the overall population of England and Wales.
A really rare opportunity to work on interesting projects that genuinely make a difference.
You'll get to see your work used across the media informing the public and used in importance policy making contexts.
As #AiGMonth23 draws to an end, it has been nice to go out with a bang.
Next week I am on the move - returning to my stats production habitat.
I have loved this role, especially the last few months working with @el_stats and @Sean_stats who will carry on the work of the team!
Ooo love a game of extra-nerdy pairs . . .
Match the profession logos - my fave #AiGMonth puzzle yet!
