The Crypto & Digital Assets APPG has today launched a Parliamentary Inquiry into access to banking services for the UK's crypto and digital assets sector.
The APPG is Westminster's leading cross-party group on crypto and digital assets, co-chaired by Lord Vaizey of Didcot (@edvaizey) and Gurinder Singh Josan CBE MP (@gsjosan), with @CryptoUKAssoc serving as its Secretariat.
As the UK prepares to implement its new crypto regulatory framework, the APPG is seeking evidence to better understand whether crypto and digital asset businesses continue to face barriers when accessing banking services, and whether further action may be needed. The Inquiry builds on the APPG's previous Parliamentary Inquiry, which identified access to banking as one of the most significant challenges facing the sector.
The Inquiry will examine access to bank accounts and banking services for crypto and digital asset businesses, as well as restrictions placed by banks on crypto-related transactions. It will also consider the impact on innovation, investment, competition and the UK's competitiveness, while identifying examples of good practice and potential solutions.
The APPG is inviting anyone with relevant experience or evidence - including banks, payment service providers, crypto and digital asset businesses, regulators, trade associations, consumer groups and other interested stakeholders - to contribute to the Inquiry.
The call for evidence is now open and closes on 31 August 2026. If your organisation has relevant evidence or experience to share, the APPG encourages you to contribute and help inform its findings and recommendations.

The Crypto and Digital Assets All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) has welcomed the publication of new UK-US recommendations designed to strengthen cooperation on digital assets, stablecoins and tokenisation.
Published by @hmtreasury and the @USTreasury through the Transatlantic Taskforce for the Markets of the Future, the recommendations set out a roadmap for closer UK-US collaboration on digital assets and capital markets, recognising the importance of greater international cooperation to support innovation, investment and competitiveness.
As Westminster's leading cross-party group of MPs and Members of the @UKHouseofLords focused on crypto and digital asset regulation, the APPG has consistently championed closer engagement between policymakers, regulators and industry in the UK and internationally.
Earlier this year, the APPG brought together senior UK and US digital asset industry leaders in Parliament to explore opportunities to strengthen UK-US collaboration.
Welcoming the recommendations, APPG Co-Chairs Lord Vaizey of Didcot (@edvaizey) and Gurinder Singh Josan CBE MP (@gsjosan) said:
"This is a significant and timely development, coming just weeks after the UK published its final rules and guidance for its new cryptoasset regime and as the United States continues to advance its own approach to digital asset regulation.
Greater cooperation and alignment between the UK and US on digital assets has the potential to provide businesses with greater regulatory clarity, reduce unnecessary cross-border friction and unlock investment, innovation and growth across two of the world's leading financial centres.β

I'm no longer with @Certora
Further restructuring was required and my name was top of the list since I'm expensive. I was offered the option to take on a Sales role and remain, but I love tech too much. So that's all she wrote.
It was a wonderful experience. I am grateful for the time I spent at Certora and the friends I made.
What's next?
Not sure to be honest. There's the option to do the same in another company, take on an internal security role, reboot my own company or finally throw my hat in the bounty hunter arena.
We'll see. For now I'm going to take a vacation.π
I think degens don't really grasp how little influence they have over a chain's success or failure
Newsflash, almost none
This isn't a demeaning post but more like a reality check
Yesterday the "ex" @base trenchers were being very loud about them bridging out of base to go chase memes on the robinhood chain and yet the 24h TVL on base went up in ETH terms
Volume on base was also 10% higher
Yeah sure the nano caps aren't getting traction but the overall state of the chain hasn't moved despite the loudness and screams
The whole thing is a giant IQ test coupled with a human behavioral experience
Folks who made their money on base are now cursing it cause they happened to loose money on this particular shitcoin
They will behave similarly once they also get slapped on a RH meme
I will be sharing an overview of what to expect with the release of the @RobinhoodCrypto token launchpad on @TheArena in the coming days.
We have vertically integrated all aspects of the token lifecycle with the following:
1) best launch mechanics weβve seen in the RH ecosystem so far
2) trading tools and multichain trenching swaps in the app to improve the ongoing trading experience and give our users the best chances to find alpha and take advantage of it
3) the social layer to allow projects to form communities and get distribution for their token
All of this unlocks the next phase of $ARENA token as well. More to come.
We were targeting late this week but we will now be live early next week with even more features and more robust testing. We believe that our launch timing will be aligned with the next big leg of the overall RH ecosystem.
Shot my 3rd founder interview today, this time for a hot wheels gacha machine company
We've got good feedback on the interviews! Only negative feedback was "I want to hear you talking less and the founder talking more" π
