You do know he means outside of BTS right? And he’s been saying this for years, that is not something that is new.

Solo career ≠ making solo music

Seokjin, as everyone else, will continue making solo music, probably will tour solo again, etc. He loves his solo projects and he loves being in bts, he can stay in BTS forever and also continue making his own music, both are true and both will happen.

He was also asked this with the context of being asked about solo career after Kian, which you seem to be ignoring. A man who has no desire for solo work would not have done everything he did.

Twisting the narrative of what he said and meant just as a gotcha moment against solo stans is gross, please start respecting him more.

The interview was done in February, before fans found out Jin had no credits. His answers in no way are influenced because “fans did not shut up about the topic”

The interviewer noticed he had no credits and like any normal person he found it odd. Jin has the freedom to answer however he wants, and he chose to be honest & express his disappointment while also seeing the good in the situation.

Let’s not invalidate his feelings and listen to him, instead of acting like he was forced by fans disappointment to say what he said.

I agree with the interviewer actually, there is rock elements in arirang & that’s 100% inspired by Jin, they saw how well Echo and Happy were received, probably. Coincidentally, those songs are the ones where Seokjin stands out.
