Wishing our St. Cornelius School families, friends, and community a very happy Christmas! Here’s a roundup of some of our favorite school memories this Christmas season! 🎄

The vowels were missing in first grade this week. “Super Vowels” saved the day! They helped their classmates decide which vowel was missing from each word by saying only their own vowel sounds! 🦸♀️💫🦸♂️
We love dress down days! Thank you to everyone who dressed down and sent in donations which will go towards student council projects! 💙✨

The room transformation was so much fun today for “Bat Day”! The first graders loved learning all about bats and completing so many fun bat themed activities! 🦇💫
We are so appreciative of our homeroom parents and the 6th grade students for making the outside of our school building look so beautiful and festive! 🎃🍂
Thank you to @Providence_AC for bringing some special visitors to our school today to honor the feast day of St. Francis of Assisi! Our donation drive was a huge success and we thank everyone who donated!
It finally feels like fall! To celebrate, 1st grade had a week of apple themed activities which included making homemade apple sauce, learning about how an apple tree changes each season and much more! 🍎🍏
It’s Apple week!! Lots of fun activities this week including germy apple where we are observing how an apple slice covered in germs appears compared to a clean apple slice! 🦠
Students in grades K-5 participated today in our first monthly STEM challenge of the school year! For the month of September, students were challenged to work with their group to build the tallest tower out of apple pieces and toothpicks! 🍎
After finishing a test this afternoon, our 1st graders asked if they could congratulate each other for working so hard by having a group high five and group hug. These pictures hardly capture all the sweetness of the moment! We hope everyone has a weekend as sweet as this!
With their lab coats and safety goggles on, we can hardly recognize our PreK4 students! Are we sure real scientists weren’t busy in our science lab last week?!
By showing students how to use social media and technology in positive and meaningful ways, we guide them away from negative uses such as cyberbullying. The bonus being they get to use technology for projects they’re passionate about! #CatholicEdChat
A few new ways our school is teaching digital citizenship is through providing our students with clubs where they collaborate with teachers to help with projects to post for school social media, a school news broadcast and student led online newspaper! #CatholicEdChat
