Today marks six months since Manon was placed on a forced hiatus, with no further explanation given.

This comes after Manon has been purposefully excluded from collaborations, sidelined, and hidden across the group’s social media. Manon has made it clear that her situation stems from mistreatment and anti-blackness within the company, Hybe x Geffen.

Since then, Manon has removed Katseye from her bio and unfollowed the person who was managing the group at the time, and who continues to work with Katseye. During her hiatus, Manon has also been removed and excluded from the group’s newest album. They have erased her from a music video she took part in, re-recorded songs and replaced her vocals.

Meanwhile, her absence has been accompanied by hate campaigns and narratives seemingly designed to paint Manon as the villain in the situation. She has had no visible interactions with the girls, and whenever they have spoken about her, it has only served to reinforce or paint a particular narrative surrounding the situation.

Six months later, there is still no clear explanation, no accountability, and no indication of when, or if, Manon will be allowed to return.
