Strategic Partnerships @lumen_grp. Connecting founders, capital & opportunities. Strong conviction in onchain tech & AI
Also with @IagonOfficial & @useTria
Over the years, I have had many conversations with my longtime friend @CathieDWood, Founder, CEO & CIO of @ARKInvest
Some of her perspectives on wealth, innovation, business and life have stayed with me far beyond our conversations
Here are 4 lessons that deserve more attention 🧵
What I take away from these ideas is that building something meaningful requires more than ambition or access to capital
It requires an understanding of how economies evolve, an ability to form independent judgments and enough personal discipline to remember why you started
As I continue developing @lumen_grp with our team, I keep returning to these questions. Which opportunities deserve our involvement? Are we bringing genuine value to projects and people? Are we building relationships that can survive beyond a single transaction?
I want Lumen to grow without losing sight of those principles
And on a personal level, I have come to believe that success is measured not only by what you create, but also by what you protect along the way

4/ "Ambition needs a purpose beyond achievement itself"
Conversations about money and business inevitably lead me to a more personal question: what is all this work supposed to make possible?
I value independence, financial security and building something that lasts. But none of these goals should come at the expense of every relationship that makes life worth living
Family, trust and time with people close to you cannot be treated as rewards to collect after success
My perspective is that wealth should expand your freedom to live according to your values, not become a reason to abandon them

the more interesting part is where @immad is taking the company next
AI agents interacting with financial accounts, managing payments and eventually handling more of the financial operations businesses deal with every day
of course, giving AI access to money comes with a whole new set of challenges
but if the infrastructure is built right, this could fundamentally change how companies manage their finances
Mercury isn't just scaling its existing business anymore
its positioning itself for a very different future of banking

Three companies hold 63% of the world’s cloud infrastructure: AWS 28%, Microsoft 20%, Google 15%.
That used to be a market statistic. It’s now a regulatory category.
In November 2025 the European Supervisory Authorities named 19 Critical ICT Third-Party Providers for direct EU oversight. In July 2026 the Bank of England, the PRA and the FCA began directly supervising four: AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft, Oracle. The same names top both lists.
DORA Article 29 asks firms a question before they sign: is this provider easily substitutable? For most critical functions, the honest answer is no.
And substitutability isn’t a procurement problem. No contract clause creates it. It’s a property of how the system is built — or it isn’t there.
That’s how Iagon is built. There is no single operator whose failure or decision ends access — storage sits across independent nodes, under conditions the customer sets. The question regulators now require firms to answer is answered by the architecture, not by the paperwork.
Compliance by design, not by process.
