Thank you all for the interest in my project!
Here's a demo of what I've been working on for longer than I would like to admit...
I'm currently working on a GUI to edit colors, patterns and symbols, so many more chapter can be represented.

@henningsanden Depending on how much you want to optimize, symmetrical textures can still be used. You can hide the symmetry with some tricks, like having arms and legs symmetrical and face and chest asymmetrical. Or you can layer props on top, like a shoulder pad in example.
@SatanicGeek Well right now Space Marine 2 character customization is much better than my project, but I'm working on it and will eventually publish something so stay tuned :)
@SatanicGeek I used to write a development blog on Artstation, but nowadays I'm posting only on Twitter.

I spent a long time trying to make a system that would animate procedurally the pauldrons of my Space Marine model.
I had to learn many things about rigging and technical animation, most important of all, bones should have correct and consistent orientation.
