Well, if this is the last throws of #twitter it’s been nice knowing you. I will miss it, but things are definitely changing for the worse. I’ve set up an account on #Mastadon but finding it hard work. Still, it’s there as a backup. Find me here… https://t.co/NeS1MyASVz
"I have accepted Keir Starmer's resignation as my chief servant and have invited Andy Burnham to lay out details for how many meals a day he'll give me"
Popped into my local @coopuk store after work and witnessed a shoplifter brazenly fill a basket then sprint to the door. To their credit 2 assistants tried to stop him, but he got away. They shouldn’t have to risk their life apprehending thieves
Just received an email from @Mango to say they’ve leaked my personal data. Why are companies unable to secure our info. This is the 4th data breach in 2025 my info has been leaked: M&S, Pandora, Renault UK! now Mango. Fuming! 😡 #Mango#Hacked#Data#Breach
@Ali__Woo@GOVUK The excuse from @renault_uk that it was an external third party provider is irrelevant - any of their chosen partners should secure our data to the same high levels as the company you originally gave the data to, in this case Renault are responsible
@Ali__Woo@GOVUK Will probably have been in the terms and conditions or their privacy policy. As far as I’m concerned, if I give my data to a company, I expect them to secure it - whether that’s in their internal systems or anyone else they share my data with
Yet another breach of personal data. This time by a third part assoc with #Renault I only registered for a test drive of the new Renault 5. How can @GOVUK have the temerity to impose #digitalID on us when these big conglomerates can’t keep it safe?
Well, that’s just fucking brilliant, isn’t it?! 🙄🤬 Why are companies like @renault_uk and @marksandspencer so relaxed about their data security and why are they never held to account for losing our personal data? They think an apology resolves them of blame
@BBCBreakfast My mum and I are both with Eon Next, on the same tariff called Next Flex, yet because we live in different regions the unit rate and standing charge are different, my elderly mum pays nearly 10p more a day standing charge. How is that legal practice?
My car’s last MOT it had an advisory for “Worn, pitted or scored brake discs”, this wasn’t mentioned when it was serviced earlier this year and it’s just sailed through the MOT today with no mention of it. All at same garage. I think a 2nd opinion is needed
Managed to save myself £234 on the upcoming car insurance policy, plus as it’s with the AA, I got breakdown cover for an extra £30 - much cheaper than the RAC’s renewal of £72. Not bad for an hour’s work, I think I deserve the rest of the day off
@bigbluewolf_ Great job, it’s always a relief when the MOT goes through! I’ve been trying to get mine booked in today but @group1auto are making it hard work. No one answers their phones.
@bigbluewolf_ And it’s also MOT month so no dobt they’ll find more work that needs doing. I will never buy a VW again, it’s cost me a small fortune to run. Disappointed in it as I thought German cars were well put together, this one isn’t!
@bigbluewolf_ True! In most cases the dealers have you over a barrel. On my VW, now the fuel cap won’t lock - an actuator, apparently - just a tiny plastic rod and they quoted me £185 to fix it. I hate this car! I think I have no option to let them do this one
