Tony is entirely correct here, and there is no good that will come of this merger. A handful of talentless rich people will get a bit richer than they already are, and the rest of us can go fuck ourselves.
“Andor” creator Tony Gilroy says it’s “tragic” that the Paramount-Warner Bros. merger is threatening to “destroy the architecture” of Hollywood “in the name of venture capital”:
“People say the movie business is in trouble You go around, you stand anywhere you want, what do people talk about? Did you see this? Did you see that? What episode are you on? The business is solid, and to destroy the architecture that made it so in the name of venture capital, it’s tragic.”
Serving as the centerpiece film at #NYFF, “Behemoth!” stars Pedro Pascal as a gifted cellist. While introducing his new film, Gilroy praised the festival’s lineup as a bright spot amid an increasingly turbulent Hollywood landscape.
“When so many things go to sh*t in Hollywood, this is like a thank you,” Gilroy told the crowd. “Thank you for letting us bring our soufflé to your groovy party.”

Super rare arrival of the Queen at Manchester Airport! Two 747s in as many days, yesterday for an emergency diversion and today to pick those passengers up. Saw it too late yesterday but today I was ready for it! airplane nerds are eating good this weekend 🤓 @flightradar24
