I'm hearing the old fashioned Quindar tones when mission control transmits to Artemis. They appear to be using analog radio audio through the deep space network dishes like they did for Apollo. Does anyone know if the tones are actually being used to trigger the transmitters?

Surprise: NASA just confirmed that comet 3I/ATLAS is just a comet! Yet, not JUST a comet: it's from a system far far away... so it's certainly special. Here's an image they just released that was taken by the MRO HiRISE in October, which is the closest image any instrument could get of the comet due to its trajectory.
