@iwasmmueller88 5) Accessibility: Because of 1 and 3, most stadia are pretty central within cities and towns w/ good public transport links (no sprawling parking lots in the middle of nowhere). So yes US stadia are bigger, but IMO dont offer the history, atmosphere and accessibility of UK venues
@iwasmmueller88 4) Atmosphere: because most UK stadia are smaller, there is a arguably much better atmosphere with fans being closer to the players and other fans.
@Michaelfiore Lots of massive stadia ✔️
Rich footballing heritage/history ❌
Sensible distances between venues for fans ❌
Risk of detainment/deportation by Trump stormtroopers ✔️
@GingerOgre Would argue "working class" people typically wouldn't have been able to afford three brand new full kits every year, that's not the norm. Many would be happy with the previous seasons kit or just the new shirt. But I agree with your general point that it's getting very expensive.
@GingerOgre My kids want to go to Disneyland every year but doesn't mean I go on Twitter to moan about how it should be cheaper because we want it to be. Re last seasons kits: we were literally watching the team play in it a few weeks ago. Having new seasons kit is a luxury that costs more
@GingerOgre I agree the cost is getting silly and the quality seems to get worse every season too, but buying three new full kits with names/numbers every season is a luxury not a right. Best option is to buy the kit at the end of the season at a heavy discount.
@VitalHtafc Judging em on only 7 games after being thrown in the deep end unexpectedly. Asked to take over a struggling team with two wins in TEN! Late goals were shocking (improvements needed) but we played some nice stuff against Bolton, Cardiff & Wycombe. Much better than with LM or LG
Summat to be said for maintaining some stability w/o another full overhaul. Results didn't go their way after stepping in unexpectedly (need to see games out) but we played so much better under Drury. His CVs impressive albeit untested as No.1 (just as DW and CC were)! #htafc
@Bradley_HTFC@htafc It was night and day in terms of performances vs Manning. We almost beat Bolton, Cardiff and Wycombe. Yes yes ALMOST. But you need intensity and aggression to win games, and we didn't see that under Grant and Manning but did for almost all games bar Mansfield under Drury.
@TheTwatOfHTAFC@AlexPursell We're not in the Championship! But obviously he was good enough to play a key role in a promotion winning League one team so could be worth looking at on a free.
