@simonahac Respectfully, I don’t completely agree. In many rural electorates frustrated individuals have stood up, decided they would like to be the independent candidates & succeeded. ( Helen Dalton, Suzanna Sheed, Ali Cupper.) All reflected a frustration re being safe / big party seats.
