@stephanshemilt And like England you can just poach the best players from the opposition whenever you fancy.

[AG Steel @steel5f]

No Anderson but offered Bailey a long deal. Been blowing it out for three years now.

[AG Steel @steel5f]

@NorthWestCric Have to included the M62 corridor as local for some of the Comps clubs.

[AG Steel @steel5f]

@willis_macp Great to see Hampshire recognised after this fine season. Does the selector have a holiday let in the area?

[AG Steel @steel5f]

Massive fan of over-the-top, Sky Sports News style signing announcements for amateur players in Div 2s around the region. Massive.

Nearly 8k views on this. League cricket lives. @MerseyCric

Could form the axis that will propel Ormskirk or Northern to even greater heights.

[AG Steel @steel5f]

@ianlomaxlag @lancscricket Moores will be in a year or so, but your point stands. Do think the standard in the leagues has dropped off and we don’t have private schools in the NW to make up for it.

[AG Steel @steel5f]

@paulharr120 @ianlomaxlag @lancscricket Quite a poor year for county cricket. Team of arl arses Warks.

Football below the prem is completely unsustainable in current form. There’s no way NLN/NLS clubs should be FT. Lads earning 6-figures in L2. It’s a game reliant on handouts.

NEW: English football on “the edge of financial disaster” - the State of the Game report by football’s independent regulator warns on concerns about overspending clubs going out of business.
Two-thirds clubs say they couldn't survive more than 90 days without fresh owner funding

[AG Steel @steel5f]

@NorthWestCric @TBulcock I’d say it is. Also, those south Manchester clubs have better facilities, drainage and, crucially, more money.

[AG Steel @steel5f]

@howardarw @honiara64 @lancscricket Decent money to be made at prem club level and national counties.

Could form the axis that will propel Ormskirk or Northern to even greater heights.

[Lancashire Cricket @lancscricket]

Lancashire Cricket can confirm that Kesh Fonseka and Harry Singh will leave the Club when their contracts expire at the end of October.

Thank you both for your commitment to the Red Rose, and best of luck for the future. ❤️

@lancscricket “A couple of lads who use our gym have done something nice.”

[AG Steel @steel5f]

@NorthWestCric West side of the county has the drier weather and better tracks to bat on.

[AG Steel @steel5f]

Lots of investment in Manchester recently…regeneration of the eastern side of the city…was it by some benevolent football club? Funny that.

[AG Steel @steel5f]

@jimb0_12 Think you’ll be another Rangers.

[AG Steel @steel5f]

2026 probably one of the weakest summers of cricket I can remember. Just seemed all rather disjointed and depressing, Pak and SL been a reminder of how the game has shrunk recently. The 💯 is awful and getting worse. Rob Key, somehow, remains.

[AG Steel @steel5f]

@Saves1990 @MediumPaceDobb1 @lancscricket Hopefully it’ll be the making of him

[AG Steel @steel5f]

@MediumPaceDobb1 @lancscricket Joe Moores will play for England. Walkden got decent heart.

[AG Steel @steel5f]

@Saves1990 @MediumPaceDobb1 @lancscricket He couldn’t score a run for two years. Averages 22 for us. Hope you sign him but he’s looked shot at Lancs.
