@steelcitystar@SteelCurtainRis Sam Davis is one of the greatest Steelers ever. He was there from start to finish in the 70s.
If he’s not in the Hall of Honor yet, he needs to be. Surprising that he isn’t talked about more often in Steelers lure.
Just watch him play, that says it all.
@steelcitystar@SteelCurtainRis Terry was the man, sure he had a rough start, but when he finally got it, there was no one better.
He had the arm strength, the accuracy. He could throw in the run, he could scramble. He called his own plays.
League MVP, SB MVP, two years in a row.
@CamHeywardFan@SteelCurtainRis Ernie’s career was cut short because of his emotional and mental problems, he wasn’t disciplined with staying on his medication.
That Steel Curtain version from ‘72-76 was the best. Ernie was probably the most dominant lineman in the league during that time.
@steelcitystar The horrendous loss of SB #30 prevented the mid nineties defense from being recognized for their greatness.
I considered it the Steel Curtain #2, and it started from this 89-90s team. Joel Steed was awesome as well.
@RichEisenShow@rudedogreyes@gerrydulac@steelers This is football, if the guys that are showing up working, but aren’t worthy enough to be on the field game day, then they shouldn’t be on the team.
All we hear is Masons not good enough, Will is a sixth round pick, so we need the 43 year old. Get over it.
@matthewluciow92 That’s why the hated Ratbirds targeted him, they couldn’t stop him.
Aside from all the obvious reasons why he should be a HOF’r, he got the best of current HOH’rs. Tough guy Ray and Big Ed come to mind.
@CamHeywardFan One thing that’s amazing about the Steel Curtain, how quickly they put it together. Really from 1970 to ‘72, all the pieces were in place.
