@awwdabaaby@GeorgeNTravels I wouldn’t go ad hominem on this, but their position is indeed bonkers. No point engaging with clearly ludicrous statements and thanks @GeorgeNTravels for calling out the nonsense!
@GeorgeNTravels Point taken, but 8 daily services is not the same as landing, booking a coach, and expecting to board within 30 mins. Even an hourly service from GLA on Ember could do wonders towards eating away the First 500 monopoly :).
@GeorgeNTravels I think this pretty much settles it. It is easier to get to EDI from the city centre of Glasgow than it is to get to GLA, on a bus. More services, cheaper, all running 24/7 at greater frequency (with Citylink AIR also running hourly at night) than First Bus 500 @GLA_Airport
@ScotRail Why release a half baked app? Do you understand the concept of UAT and phased migrations, using a small sample of users to test out new features before you roll it out in full? What an amateurish deployment. Imagine your bank doing that.
@ScotRail@Metallica Absolute carnage, the queue wraps around under the Umbrella, around Tim Hortons and up Union St to the edge of the fenced off area. If you can, walk or take the bus.
@ScotRail are you aware of any issues with smart cards? Tried to load a Flexipass onto a smart card this morning and it did not work. The card would not scan at the ticket barrier, and the conductor on the train could only see the tickets already used. Had no issues last month.
@BajiNahid@SeanM1997@GeorgeNTravels It’s just an airport. Most of it looks like a shed and is very cramped, especially in summer. Does the job, but otherwise it is totally unremarkable. The best thing about EDI is trying not to spend too much time in EDI. I wish Scotland had a nicer main airport to be fair.
@ScotRail why is the fire control panel at Glasgow Queen Street, by the George Square exit, constantly beeping and flashing? Been like this for months and it is really annoying whenever waiting for a train.
@ClaimsR63779 All good, thank you! Will use delay repay (the second time on this return trip, sadly). Please pass my regards to the crew north of Preston. Top notch service and comms, unlike your folk on the ground in London, who were unaware of any line issues.
@Twingram86@AvantiWestCoast It is indeed. Though delayed and the delay is compounding as stuck behind freight trains now. Will stick to flying @AvantiWestCoast as Scotland - London services have very poor on time performance. Thought I’d give the train another chance, but it’s not reliable enough.
