@GiteshPandya looks more like $63m+ for 7 days. hoping it builds some natural momentum to, I mean not much, but maybe balance it out a teeny bit but who knows. sis and niece loved it. had fun. enjoyed OG better.
@Luiz_Fernando_J "Also, Moana earned an overall A with women, and an A+ with the under 18 demo." so, when critics trash, it scores the highest with the target demo, kids and moms/women, all else is just a reaction along with critics making the score even more impressive and rejection of critics
@GiteshPandya playing very similar to huge Moana 2 then Mufasa shortly later....while disappointing from the mega-ness of it all, clearly the timing has implications, the closeness to other ip, but I also think it'll coast to a decent number. still, if it was great great it would broaden aud
@woollyyoshi222@Itsjat32 true. will be curious where it ends up at end of day. at least all 3 fam movies have a full month to coast then dwindle down through Labor Day weekend. but u said it, very important the people watching love it. especially women and kiddos
@PDergarabedian with less theaters and screens than 2019 and much less product and the product there for less windows before public availability. so....theaters doing best they can with what given so....studios step up
@EmpireCityBO wasn't it always going back to this: they erase the cable industry then eventually become it. but initially it was erase them and theatrical and become the behemoth all controlling at $150 q month no choice but to do company but that didn't work. Netflix deserves to be shat on
@EmpireCityBO@dunemovie@Avengers Werd. the amazing part 2 doing $720m the ceiling on 3 is $1b max but prob a bit lower and ....it has to be just as amazing. Ceiling for Avengers doomsday is idk, bc so many factors that make it ...$1-1.5-2-2.5b+.....who knows, its going to be massive massive.
@GiteshPandya just hugely still so wild that BR/OB gonna contribute $800m+ to global bo and $450m+ domestic. this is how box office works when certain things underperform or fail. woot! but we need more pleasant surprises for rest of year!
