Institute for the Study of War hinted at Putin’s inadequacy

Putin stated that Russian troops captured 1,301 km² of Ukrainian territory in September.

However, according to calculations by the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), during the same period the Russian army lost 80.81 km² of previously occupied territory.

If territories that Russian troops entered but failed to hold are taken into account, the total losses amount to 175.18 km².

ISW notes that Putin’s statements about the offensive are “so far removed from reality that they resemble hallucinations.”

“Putin’s absurd statements continue to shape a fictional picture of the fighting, reinforcing the Kremlin’s efforts as part of cognitive warfare.”

Analysts note that they cannot determine whether Putin is aware of the discrepancy in these figures or is receiving distorted data from the military leadership.

Separately, ISW points to increasingly frequent violations of the airspace of Moldova and other European countries.

According to the analysts, Moscow is trying to make such incidents seem normal, gradually increasing their frequency and scale.

NEW: Trump’s talks with Russia over ending the war in Ukraine have expanded to include a multibillion-dollar Lukoil deal that would benefit Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, according to a NYT report.

The deal, which needs approval from both the U.S. government and Kremlin, would involve Lukoil’s oil fields, refineries and gas stations around the world.

The group seeking it includes Trump donor Todd Boehly, Middle Eastern groups that have done business with Kushner or Witkoff’s family, and even an arm of the U.S. government.

⚡️ A federal judge has ordered the U.S. Department of Justice to turn over unredacted handwritten FBI notes from four interviews with a woman who alleged that Donald Trump sexually and physically assaulted her when she was 13–15 years old.

The DOJ says it complied with the order. The records were provided to Judge Emmet Sullivan for private, in-camera review and have not been made public.

Unrest and mass arrests in Moscow and several other Russian cities today, as the country's second largest political party staged protests against the Putin regime, after obtaining permission under false pretense.

As over 2000 led a march in central Moscow with chants of "Down with the Czar", Putin's goons cracked skulls, arresting around 100.

The second protest in the past few days, today's march began at Krasnopresnenskaya Zastava Square before marching toward the Russian White House.

The government-authorized the demonstration only because they were told its intent was to commemorate those killed in the 1993 constitutional crisis, but things quickly became clear. Chants of..

“Down with the Tsar!”
“We want freedom!”
“Free political prisoners!”
“Honest elections!”
“No political repression!”

The location and anniversary carry particular symbolism, as protesters were marching toward the site of Russia’s violent 1993 confrontation between Boris Yeltsin and parliament while openly denouncing Russia’s current political system.

No mention of the genocidal war being waged at their behest and with their tax dollars.
