@MeaghanDrew I love how in detail this chart is! It makes all of the uses of social media and technology in general in the classroom very clear and organized. #gilmaned210
@CarissaSzabo8 This is such a cool way to incorporate both technology and art into your lesson! It allows students to express themselves while also playing to visual learners!
These posters are really cool resources for the classroom and directly relate to my SMART goal, which is working on developing my digital citizenship. This is a great way to incorporate how to be a digital citizenship in the classroom for my future students. #gilmaned210

This is an awesome use of UDL in the classroom and even though it is meant for certain students, it is useful for all different types of learners. This option has elements of representation, action & expression, and also engagement. #gilmaned210
Different note taking to allow the visual students or artists to be able to process information. Partial outline notes to support the students who struggle with note taking. Although the notes are designed for specific students in mind, they are good for all students! @CAST_UDL
This is similar to what I will be doing in my lesson plan. For students to develop their understanding of factors impacting plant growth, they will be exploring an online simulation and changing the variables to see what impacts the plant's development positively. #gilmaned210
I liked how this not only included a visual representation explaining SAMR but also included further information about each level and how it can be used to integrate tech in the classroom. The examples given were also very useful in furthering understanding! #gilmaned210
I really enjoyed reading this post. As a future teacher I often worry about how I am going to keep my class engaged, so reading about how I can use the 4Cs of education to keep my future students engaged was very helpful and interesting! #gilmaned210
@Alyssa_ED1@maureen_gilman I agree! I think thanks to COVID we realized how many teachers were not keeping up with new technology and because of this they struggled to teach and that made it harder for students to learn. Keeping up with constantly changing technology is key.
@RileyMarsden37@maureen_gilman I agree! Just learning the curriculum and passing the tests is not enough. Teachers help form who students are as a person, so they should be taking away a lot more than just the curriculum.
@maureen_gilman I liked how this podcast focused a lot on being a lifelong learner as technology is always changing and social and emotional skills and their importance. Students should not just learn how to pass a test, but also useful information for life. #gilmaned210#lifelonglearner
This gives many ways a school system has already worked to bridge the digital divide! Giving students the tech isn't enough, they need the internet too. Hotspots & working with businesses that have internet are great resources for supplying students with internet! #gilmaned210
To address the digital divide, @RSSchoolsNC reached out to the community for solutions. Eventually, they were able to provide Wi-Fi hotspots to students in both urban and rural areas.
Read about their approach!

This article tackles how digital tools in the classroom may be great resources, but they are also great distractions. These distractions impact concentration, which other generations haven't faced, so it is important to use devices smartly. #gilmaned210
The article conveys important information relating to my SMART goal. I want my students to be able to use new technology in the classroom, but to do so safely and responsibly. Having students being aware of digital citizenship is a key way to accomplish this! #gilmaned210
In @digcitizen's book, "Digital Citizenship in Schools," he explains three categories of digital citizenship and lays out a framework that educators can use to teach the basics.

I liked this article because it not only talked about how to create a positive learning environment in your classroom but it was comprised of ideas from different teachers and administrators around the country. Students need an engaging and welcoming environment! #gilmaned210
My goals for this course are to become more familiar with the technology being used in classrooms and be more confident in both my tech skills and participating/public speaking. I am also looking forward to seeing what we can learn from one another in our PLC! #gilmaned210
