Flume catheter study funded by @NIHRresearch RfPB started today. It has been a long haul, with many milestones yet to pass, but we are GO!! Here is the first catheter used in study, placed by @CarolinaOchoaV (right) with heroic research nurse Marta @icsoffice @BAUSurology

At NBT we achieved a complete cessation of transrectal prostate biopsies in favour of the transperineal route under LA. The benefits include reduced sepsis rates and improved cancer detection, making it a better, safer biopsy for our patients.
