I spent the ‘90s reading so much awesome fantasy/scifi just by picking books with Michael Whelan covers. This was one such series. He never steered me wrong.

Society has insisted that school curriculums focus on STEM for years now and this shit is a surprise? That the only path to success is coding and not how to read?

Even in the mid ‘90s I had people laugh at me for getting an English degree. Humanities have NEVER been a priority (in the USA at least) so why is this a surprise?
