"The world must recommit to solving problems no nation can solve alone.
Let’s stand together and fulfil the extraordinary promise of your United Nations.
Let’s show the world what is possible when 'We the Peoples' choose to act as one."

80 years ago, the UN was born from a simple yet powerful vision: peace, dignity & human rights for all.
These values are still being tested every day - but we must not give up.
Let's stand together to defend our values and build the world we envision. #UNday
Hope 🇺🇳
Unity 🇺🇳
Diversity 🇺🇳
Possibility 🇺🇳
Cooperation 🇺🇳
These are just some of the words that come to mind when people think about the United Nations.
Take a look and get inspired on Friday’s #UNDay. ⬇️
22 years ago today, a bomb ripped through the UN headquarters at the Canal Hotel in Baghdad, Iraq.
We remember the profound loss of our courageous and compassionate UN colleagues.
On World Humanitarian Day, we demand an end to attacks on humanitarians and all civilians. We demand that governments put pressure on all parties to conflict to protect civilians. We demand accountability for violations and an end to impunity, so that perpetrators face justice.
An attack on humanitarians is an attack on humanity. Let’s #ActForHumanity
For 80 years, the @UN has worked to forge peace, tackle poverty & hunger, advance human rights & build a more sustainable world,.
Now, more than ever, the world must recommit to solving problems no nation can solve alone.
On this #UNDay, let’s stand together & act as one.
The @UN touches our lives every day.
Every year, it provides food & aid to over 150 million people, supplies vaccines to 45% of the world’s children & supports elections in some 50 countries.
The moral of the UN's story is simple: humanity is strongest when we stand as one.
“For 80 years, we have worked to forge peace, tackle poverty & hunger, advance human rights & build a more sustainable world – together.”
On Friday's #UNDay, @antonioguterres urges people to unite & fulfil the extraordinary promise of the United Nations.

This #WorldHumanitarianDay we renew our call:
Respect the rules of war. Protect those who protect humanity. End impunity – or stand condemned by history.
The world is watching. #ActForHumanity – now.
@UNOCHA
To those with power and influence.
Last year, we called on you to act:
🔴Respect the rules of war.
🔴Protect humanitarians and civilians.
🔴End impunity.
Nothing changed.
How much more suffering will you ignore?
On #WorldHumanitarianDay, we urge you to #ActForHumanity – now.
2024 was the deadliest year on record for humanitarian workers.
2025 is on track to be even worse.
Their work, meant to save lives, is under attack.
On #WorldHumanitarianDay, the EU reiterates its steadfast support for humanitarian aid – a beacon of hope for those who suffer.
Each year, more aid workers are killed, injured, or kidnapped – and the support they need to work safely is eroding.
On #WorldHumanitarianDay, we honour their courage and call for their protection. ❤️
Aid workers are #NotATarget.
Mourning 100s of humanitarians killed this year. This is more than a statistical spike - it is normalization of violence against our community.
Each attack is an attack on all of us. Enough.
