I do NOT want this game to EOS.

A lot of you might disagree with me, and that is fine. It means while we might be technically fighting "on the same side", we're clearly fighting for different things.

I am fighting because I care about the game, and the artistry of the writers and the devs. I want Papergames/Infold to FIX it and to restore what they took from it. Not shut it down.

I am fighting because I eventually want to get back to playing it once things have been made right.

If I didn't care about the game anymore, and I didn't want to play it anymore, I absolutely WOULD NOT be wasting my time fighting for it, because what would be the point? lol

I would simply delete and go do something else.

I am not fighting to "take down the big bad corpo" and "teach them a lesson". My GOAL is not to EOS the game.

My goal is to help get them to pay attention to us, treat their player base better, and get them to fix the game.

If you don't align with that, that's fine. No need to argue about it, because I don't have energy for that either. Just know that's not the side of the fight I'm on, so you can go ahead and unfollow me, mute me, block me, whatever.

I just want them to #bringvalkoback and address player concerns.

To that end, I will still push. I will keep on the pressure we have built and maintain consistency in that. I will be loud on socials. I will send emails. I will not spend. I will keep tabs on the situation until they speak.

I will NOT help escalate this campaign into some raging inferno that is going to burn EVERYTHING DOWN along with it.

I will not entertain baseless rumors. I will not personally attack employees (literally NO ONE should be doing that regardless of your stance), or use hashtags that I feel like contradict with my personal goals for this boycott.

Not after all the good this portion of the community has done.

That's just where I stand. Take it or leave it. 💕

People are getting frustrated because they think "if the loss in revenue for THIS WHOLE MONTH wasn't enough to force their hand, then speaking with our wallet isn't enough!"

What those people fail to understand is: Businesses have built in runway. A single month of bad sales is a signal, not an immediate killer. Infold won't bankrupt over a month of bad revenue. They won't EOS over a single month of bad revenue. If they are like every other competent business out there (pauses for laughter), then they have a good war chest of money to get them through without having to do a damn thing, before it gets DIRE.

For example, the company I work for knows that if we do LITERALLY NOTHING and stop gaining a single cent in revenue, we can continue operating normally for 3 years.

NORMALLY. For THREE YEARS.

And we are nowhere near as big as Infold as a company.

That's not at all to say that Infold will string us along for YEARS (that would be actually insane), but that's to paint the picture that while what we're doing is EFFECTIVE, it doesn't necessarily mean it's going to be FAST.

There are A LOT of unknowns at play, but what we DO KNOW is that businesses at their core care about revenue.

A drop this big is a huge signal. Even if it doesn't force their hand to move right away, we have to OUTLAST THEM, because right now the game MIGHT be that they're waiting to see if we get tired and give up and go back to spending like before.

But if we OUTLAST THEM and their revenue CONTINUES to tank/plateau at a historic low for the company, they will have no choice but to address it. Because while they do have runway, the goal of a business is not to burn THROUGH that runway. It's to grow profit and continue to pad the runway and expand operations.

It's a game of stamina that we're playing with them at this point.

So the TL;DR is:
* Don't spend.
* If you can help it, don't log in.
* If you have to pull on Caleb do it with saved resources and DON'T. SPEND.

Keeping consistent pressure on their bottom line is what will be the strongest communicator with them and is what will eventually force them to act.
