“Why did it have to be a crown of thorns placed upon his head?
It should have been a royal one
of gold and jewels instead.
It had to be a crown of thorns
because in this world we live
for those who would seek to love,
a thorn is all the world has to give.”
Virtue is its own reward; the reward for doing the right thing is the person you are becoming.
To expect the world to honor virtue is to forget what the world did to Jesus.
Do what is right.
Your Father in Heaven sees you.

In Matthew 5: 43-48, Jesus reveals the heart of a Christian.
He tells us how Christians love, how Christians act and how Christians pray.
Every time I read this, I see how far I am from the kingdom of heaven while simultaneously, I take great hope because he has shown me what to be and given me the strength to be it.
I need Jesus to change and heal my mind and heart to be more like his.
I need to reject all of those who will encourage me to change Jesus heart to be like mine.

Dès qu'on refait. Dès qu'on transmet. Dès qu'on crée.
A Christian is killed every 2 hours in sub-Saharan Africa. More than 70% of all Christians killed for their faith last year were Nigerian. And yet 94% of Nigerian Catholics still show up to Mass every Sunday. The highest attendance rate on the planet.
Read that again.
🚨 Exposing California's corrupt "Stop Nick Shirley Act", instead of going after the fraudsters California is now going after the people exposing the fraud.
This bill AB 2624 will:
- Criminalize journalists with misdemeanors, $10,000 fines, imprisonment, and content takedown
- Let immigrant based NGOs' funding be confidential
- Take away freedom of the press from journalists
- Protect any "immigration support services" information from being public (healthcare, legal services, etc)
This bill was created by the Attorney General's WIFE Mia Bonta to stop fraud from being exposed. Please like and share this video everywhere! By trying to silence and intimidate journalists, they are trying to hide the truth from you. EXPOSE ALL THE FRAUD.
It is almost impossible to overstate the importance of daily Scripture.
Everything we read, we take into our ourselves.
Everything we take into our ourselves changes us.
Most of us choose daily to take horrors into ourselves: the outrage mongers, the political hacks and those who see you as a means to wealth & power.
We take all this into ourselves and wonder why we are frightened and angry all the time.
Let God’s word enter you today and transform you.
Let truth, beauty & light be what makes you what you are.

Heavenly Father, help me not to get so discouraged by my sins and struggles that I forget Your victory over them. Help me to always remember that Your love, mercy and constancy are unconquerable.
Amen

Like everyone else, sometimes I suffer because I’m a sinner and do sinful things.
Sometimes I suffer because other people are sinful and do sinful things.
Sometimes, it’s a combination of both.
There are rare, precious, and beautiful moments where I suffer because of Jesus, for Jesus. scripture calls these rare, painful & precious gems “suffering for righteousness sake”.
Social media seems to be filled with people claiming they are suffering for righteousness sake. They call on you and I to pity them, join them, etc.
There is an extremely simple way to tell if someone is suffering for righteousness sake: they act like Jesus who “opened not His mouth”.
The early Christian community was a phenomenal example of this: their government stripped them of everything, tortured them for entertainment and killed them.
We know this, not because they wrote about it, but because their persecutors did.
Those righteous, beautiful saints suffered joyfully. Saint Paul was too busy talking about Jesus to endlessly proclaim his victimhood.
A person suffering for the sake of righteousness rejoice in that suffering.
They don’t tell you about it, if they don’t publicize it, they don’t ask for pity, they rarely ask for support.
They know that God sees them. They believe in the power of truth.
I have experienced this in my own life so many times, I’ve lost count.
Family of God, you are surrounded by people suffering for righteousness, and you will never know it till the kingdom of heaven.
Please, pray and discern before you believe anyone who claims they are suffering for righteousness.
If they are telling you, they probably aren’t.

I keep forgetting I’m not in charge.
I keep forgetting to check my pride.
God does not need my opinion; the Church functioned just fine without me for 2,000 years.
My job is to be holy.
My job is to pray like it’s all on Him and work like it’s all on me.
My job is to soak in His love and share it as best I can each day.
My job is to repent from my sins & refuse to give up.
My job is to say Yes to God each day & give birth to Jesus wherever I go.
It’s a full-time job, and when I fail, it’s often because I am trying to do someone else’s job.
For all the ways I have done my job, I praise the Lord.
For all the times I fail, I ask forgiveness.

I have a theory that 90% of problems could be fixed if everybody just stopped lying.
From governments, to corporations, to the media, to the everyday man and woman.
What’s crazy is that while this is the first time Khelif has publicly admitted to having XY (male) chromosomes, this fact has been known for over a year through interviews with his trainer and leaked medical records. Yet no major left-wing news outlet would report on it.
I laid out all of these facts on my Substack and some in The Wall Street Journal. Despite the undeniable evidence, some former friends of mine on Facebook refused to believe it simply because outlets they trust, like The New York Times and The Washington Post, hadn’t run their own stories “confirming” what I had already documented.
That says a lot about their reliance on institutional authority over their own ability to evaluate evidence. And major left-wing outlets understand this dynamic well. If they just don’t report on a story, their readers will assume it must be disinformation.
Even now, the NYT and WaPo remain silent. They still haven’t reported these facts that now came directly from Khelif himself. As a result, huge swaths of the left will never learn the truth because they’ve been trained to distrust any information that hasn’t been pre-approved by their preferred media gatekeepers.
Listen to what @BretWeinstein is saying here. It’s one of the most gut-punch breakdowns I’ve heard about why the people inside these broken institutions can look at devastating evidence of harm to children… and still choose silence.
He calls himself a “de facto atheist,” and yet he sees something most people refuse to admit:
When you don’t believe in anything bigger than yourself, it becomes far too easy to make peace with evil.
How do you ignore when studies show severe harm to kids? How do you watch the vaccine program keep rolling when the data screams danger?
You tell yourself the same lie they all tell themselves:
“It won’t make a difference anyway.”
“The system is too corrupt.”
“If I speak up, I’ll be destroyed.”
“No one’s going to listen. The government won’t act. Institutions are untouchable.”
That’s the utilitarian calculus they run: “The greater good is keeping the machine running, even if it crushes a generation of children.” And once you accept that logic, you can justify literally anything...slavery, genocide, medical experiments on kids. History proves it.
Here’s the part that hits hardest:
Faith in a higher power is not gameable.
You can lie to yourself. You can lie to your colleagues. You can lie to the public. But you cannot lie to God. You cannot convince an all-knowing Judge that “it wouldn’t have mattered anyway” or “I had to protect my career.”
That internal moral compass - knowing someone is listening to your thoughts - keeps you from crossing lines that pure utilitarianism happily sprints across.
Brett nails it: Science displaced faith in the modern world, but we never replaced what faith actually did, especially when it comes to the heavy moral lifting...
This is why the cover-up continues. Because too many of them have no fear of anything higher than a paycheck, a title, or peer approval.
We are in a spiritual crisis masquerading as a scientific one.
Watch Brett lay this out below 👇—it’s raw, it’s real, and it explains exactly why we can’t wait for the system to fix itself.
Share this far and wide. Our kids deserve adults who still believe some things are more important than self-preservation.
Today "the news" will attempt to trigger in you an overwhelming Pavlovian response of some sort. Fear. Outrage. Self-righteous pride. Bit you don't have to respond, lab rat! You can even choose a random response. Or, even more interestingly, one that is wildly "inappropriate."
I’ve just received the very sad news that John Allen has died. For more than thirty years, John has been the dean of Catholic journalists in the English-speaking world. There was no more intelligent, fair-minded, balanced, and insightful commentator on Church life than John. He was also an exceptionally decent and kind person. I first came to know him when he interviewed me ten years ago for a book about my life and work. We met for several lengthy sessions in my home, and I was massively impressed by the range of his knowledge, the intensity of his passion for the Church, and his good humor. Many people talk about building bridges and bringing warring factions together, but John actually did those things, both through his graceful writing and his personal charm. I will miss him as a friend, and I will also miss him as a much-needed voice of reason and sanity in the Church. May he rest in peace.
Jesus is Lord.
He is not intimidated by the mess we have made.
There is nothing about what is going on in The Church, the world, or your heart that gives him pause.
Choose peace today. Choose joy.
Nothing can take you from his hand.

“There is no fear in love, but perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment, and so one who fears is not yet perfect in love.”
The older I get, the clearer it becomes to me that fear might very well be the defining trait at the heart of so many of our problems.
Humans, (especially our political parties) want us afraid because they want to use us.
God wants you fearless because he wants to free you.
Turn off the fear and outrage mongers and immerse yourself in the word of God.

We each have been given crosses of varying weights and sizes.
My concern when it comes to other peoples cross ends at prayer and assistance. Their crosses are not mine to judge or even describe.
When it comes to my cross, my concern is to carry it like Jesus; with tenacity, with dignity and without complaint.
As for you reading this, I simply must remind you that Jesus sees you. He knows your cross. He can see all the things no one else can, and he’s so proud of the way you carry what you carry.
He knows you fall, he knows that.
He’s not ashamed of your falling, he’s proud of your rising.
He knows that other people have looked at you and judged you, but did so without knowing about the cross you carry. It breaks his heart. He cries with you.
Your cross is heavy, I know and he knows it too.
But what he also knows that you and I can’t until heaven, is the way it gives him glory.
The way it’s preparing you for heaven.
The way it shines his light in a particular way that we would all be lost without.
So, carry that cross.
Carry it well.
Be proud of that heavy, ugly blood stained piece of wood.
It’s helping him save you.
It’s helping him save the world.

I don’t know about you, but I have no time for the people who are constantly trying to give us more things to worry about. I’m only interested in Truth, Beauty, and Goodness these days. Show me wonder, make me laugh, touch my heart, make me feel understood, provoke my curiosity, cause me to be inspired, move me to love, but stop trying to make me afraid of what will happen if I’m not more anxious about things — especially those I can’t control.
Earn attention by making people’s lives better, not by trying to infect them with more bad.
