Mesmerizing video from #Kilauea's episode 12. Both north & south vents were active when the video was taken on Mar 5. Lava fountains jetted to 300 ft (90 m). Episode 12 ended later that day but given current rates of reinflation, a new episode is expected in the next 4-6 days.

@developamerica All data from NWS is paid for by taxpayers. It costs $4/year per person. Aside from that, all data is free to everyone.
All it would take is 1 day of shutting down our radars for everything to crumble. This is so impactful and unsustainable. Just 1 day is all it would take.

Seven Planets to Line Up in Just 3 Days

A planetary parade will take place on February 28, with Saturn, Mercury, Neptune, Venus, Uranus, Jupiter, and Mars all lining up in the evening sky. This combination will not happen again this decade.

Four of them (Mercury, Venus, Jupiter, and Mars) will be visible to the naked eye, while Uranus and Neptune will require binoculars or a telescope. Saturn will be the hardest to see due to its proximity to the Sun at this time.

To observe this event, it is recommended to choose a location with minimal light pollution and clear skies. The planets will appear just after sunset.

Here are the preliminary Jan. 9-10 North TX snow totals. Some may be less than expected due to partial melting Thurs. afternoon before the last round of snow. Most areas saw 2"-5", with average totals of 5"-8" near the Red River. 11" was the highest total reported in Knollwood.
