@BBCWomansHour@clarebalding I don't know about being in a women's sports team, but being in an all-female rock band has changed the life of this 70 year old! Perhaps you could do a prog on the lack of women not just in the rock scene, but also in the techie background jobs?
@FitbitSupport :I just had an email to say my Fitbit account has recently changed. I no longer have a Fitbit, hasn't used it for at least 4 years. This is not me.
Excited that @BBCWomansHour are talking about girl bands. We're interested in all-female bands where they play the instruments, rather than just being singers. Last UK hit was @FuzzboxOfficial but older women in Leicester have formed FIVE all-women bands in the unglam rock scene
@Skirwingle @FirstTron@susie_dent@GylesB1 And the fruit was originally called a norange. It became an orange through usage, easier to say I suppose. My source for that little gem was Susie Dent on SRWP ☺️
@susie_dent@GylesB1 Is there a non-gender specific singular to the word 'cattle'? A horse is a horse, regardless of mare or stallion. One cattle can be a heiffer, cow, bullock or bull, but you can't always see clearly enough to tell. What do you call one on its own?
@Connor_1313_ @Jules0440@Waterstones You should know that being double vaccinated, as am I, doesn't stop you getting Covid-19, or more significantly, passing it on to others. If you've been so conscientious up till now with wearing your mask, as have I again, I really don't understand why you would stop now.
@Connor_1313_ @Waterstones Wearing a mask is not to protect you, it's a selfless act to protect others from the potentially infective particles you breathe out. So thanks for letting the world know you're totally selfish and that you're comfortable with that.
@Waterstones Good, nice to know there will be somewhere I feel reasonable safe I can go to. I'm glad some people who don't want to wear a mask inside have said they'll boycott you, less risk for the rest of us. I doubt their absence will impact your sales.
@IanG1314@tennisontelly It might have been a repeat, but we hadn't seen it before, and it would've been nice to see the last one of the week. I hate tennis.
@SamUR1995 @David_Bunyard @nemani_nadolo Reminds me of Radio Leicester Sports presenter Bleddyn Jones, he had is in stitches every week trying to pronounce Ayerza! It invariably came out as Ezra, he could never manage it.
