@childofeternity@SitDownDino @ml_maria_ I believe US is guilty of war crimes, beyond a doubt.
They're guilty of betraying allies, sacrificing ppl for monetary gains, assassinations etc.
So is great many other nations & leaders - China, Russia, Syria, Iran etc.
No excuses - a crime is a crime, by any other name.
Agree?
@CNNPolitics Yes except it really isn't, is it?
I love Ellen just as much as you (give or take) - but this embrace of Bush despite his "different beliefs", it just reeks.
Maybe you should just leave it alone, sugarcoating this turd will only spread the stink more.
@telekinetica @ml_maria_ Please spare me your review.
I agree on some of your points, US has waged illegal wars, paid proxies to fight as well. That went pretty bad as weapons were turned on US and allies as groups switched allegiance.
Looking for common ground, those you defend also did horrible things.
@telekinetica @ml_maria_ You know as well as I do - that war & conflict is neither a zero sum game, nor a binary issue.
That side or version you seem to support - seem to be guilty of quite a lot of wrongdoing, from my POV.
But ofc - that was in the name of a righteous cause, so doesn't count, I guess.
@telekinetica @ml_maria_ No.
Wars and armed conflicts are never pretty, and truth is always the first victim. And the insane logic of "my enemy's enemy is my friend" has backfired so many times.
I disagree with your categorical claim.
I could counter with "your side has only done good things, then?"
@TIME "George - you know, I don't share your fondness for thousands of dead people in illegal wars you should have been prosecuted for. But here are some nachos! Great game, huh!"
