@orenanne808 It is slow, yes. The current generations in Europe have not experiences something like this, and the experiences from the Cold War are fading
90% is an exaggeration, at least in Norway and the Nordic countries. 50-55% is normally the maximum for normal people, with exceptions, of course.
I have paid property taxes in the US, and that is very expensive. So the effective tax rate is not low in the US either. When I lived there for a while, I was surprised at that; the net result was about the same as here in Norway
@ContextUncut@0x45o That's the theory, yeah. I have lived both in the US and in Norway, and the end result is pretty much the same. Kindergarten and property taxes are much higher over there (I lived in New York), which eats up much of the difference in disposable income
