Labour costs for the #YVR Canada Line #Station were reduced with the unique clamping system which attached to the #steel beams. Installers were able to avoid drilling and tapping each individual connection to the #support #structure, which is initially the #traditional method.

A curved “sail wall” encloses the lobby at #Yorkdale Mall with double #glazing resting on custom spiders that don’t require holes in the #glass. A #laminated glass extension allows the wall to project above the enclosed lobby, creating a dramatic upturn as it curves outwards.

Winter conditions in Edmonton meant designing with the intent to create an enclosed environment. Spider fittings were mounted to the structural steel #bridges spanning between concrete columns with attention being paid to the camber of the bridges at the Royal Alexandra Hospital.

The #staircase at Knappett Projects in Victoria, BC comprises multi #laminated #glass walls onto which wooden stair treads and landing are bolted. This glass design ensured that the walls, which also act as stair #guards, were able to safely resist all applied loads.

The #Phoenix #Glass Office was one of the first double #glazed feature walls in the Vancouver region. The glass #fasteners were pre-mounted into the inboard lites of glass before #assembly of the IG units.

The spider #glazed #system on the Geo. A. Kelson #Headquarters #building was mounted to steel HSS profiles using Stella’s Nutsert system. A #customized floating header ensured secure connections to the doors below and the transom panels above.

Stella’s hardware can be found on the visible #signage located outside of the BC Vancouver Children's hospital entrance as well as inside of the hospital. The use of point supported #glass #hardware creates an excellent, uncluttered backdrop for signage as seen in this #project.
