@CelticFC@CelticTV Wish the big man well. However ...
Celtic fans have spoken, and it's a unanimous vote of NO CONFIDENCE. Tick tock ⏲️... #sacktheboard
We need to hold this board accountable now because no one else will. If we don't, the incompetence, the deflection, the undermining of the manager, the belittlement of supporters and the utter disregard for our investment, will continue until the club has truly been "torn apart".
🚨 🟣 RSC Anderlecht’s Chairman Wouter Vandenhaute is OUT ! Here is the official letter he adresses to the board :
« Dear Board Member,
With a heavy heart, I want to inform you that I will be making my mandate as Chairman of RSC Anderlecht available at the upcoming Board of Directors meeting this Friday.
Following the elimination in Athens and the defeat against Union, this is the only logical decision—especially because, even with good results, the atmosphere surrounding me has become untenable.
For five years, under difficult and sometimes nearly impossible circumstances, I have dedicated myself wholeheartedly to the club of my heart. My energy to bring RSCA back to the top of Belgian football is far from depleted.
It has been a bumpy road so far, and the results over the past five years—two third-place finishes, two fourth-place finishes, a Conference League quarterfinal, and two cup finals—are simply not enough for a club that used to win the league every other year.
However, internally, we’ve made significant progress, and I’m convinced that RSCA is much closer to new success than many think.
Unfortunately, over the past years, I have not succeeded in uniting the ranks—mainly because I have been unable to convince the majority shareholder that the club is evolving in the right direction and that success will follow.
In recent months, I’ve had to witness that this division has only worsened. When, just an hour before the match against Union yesterday, the majority shareholder addressed the fans directly without the club’s knowledge, I realized that offering my resignation was the only option left.
Anderlecht is much further along than the current public perception suggests. The club is once again respected at the highest levels of Belgian football, it has strong management, and all the tools are in place to surprise on the pitch this season.
But this will only be possible if the internal unity is restored—a goal the club has not achieved since the Vanden Stock family’s departure.
If the only way to make that happen is the resignation of the chairman, then I am willing to do so. Because no one stands above this magnificent club—certainly not me.
I remain a supporter with all my heart and soul.
Purple and white regards,
Wouter »
