Everyone says Democrats can’t just be anti-Trump but it seems like “orange man bad” is a much more broadly appealing message than anything else you could come up with.
@danielsgoldman I am so fucking glad I don’t have to write in a New York athlete instead of voting Democrat because you’re name was on the ballot. The door can’t hit you hard enough on the way out
We can't talk about it now, but at some later point when 'Gaza' is supplanted as the apex Omnicase issue, there will be a very interesting conversation to be had about how it was childless adults who were disproportionately emotionally invested in 'the children of Gaza.'
There are all sorts of political dynamics that are only now possible because emotion that was once invested more proximally in the lives of loved ones is now distributed more diffusely into 'politics' in exact proportion to the degree that family and social life have become restricted.
So, The Odyssey. Lol. It’s good, maybe Nolan’s best, and not even slightly “woke.” The right-wing hysteria is amazingly detached from reality.
It’s a relentlessly masculine film, visually similar to Troy (2004) at times, but starker and bleaker, less flamboyant and less feminist. Circe, Calypso, Charybdis etc. are classic Nolan female chaos dragons. Penelope’s weaving is not dwelled upon.
The costumes look good. The soundscape is relentless roaring and clanging that rings in your ears when you wander out of the theater feeling slightly overwhelmed by three hours of torchlit Mycenaean brutality.
The brief presence of several black actors and one transsexual feels utterly natural in a mythological setting of seafaring travelers, and the fits of neurosis over it are extremely embarrassing for champions of the Master Race, whose ideological fanaticism and general hostility to aesthetic values has now exceeded the wildest excesses of left-wing media critique.
This is looking like another grand slam that Novak Djokovic probably would have won if not for Jannik Sinner...
If he and Carlos Alcaraz never came along, I think there's a very realistic possibility that Djokovic would have gotten to 30 grand slams.
Tilly Norwood, the AI “actor” who sparked a frenzy of anger in Hollywood in late 2025, will be put in lead role of a new movie.
“Misaligned,” announced by the AI-focused studio Particle 6, is described as a comedy-drama telling a “coming-of-age story infused with existential AI chaos.”

@avygal@Allegedly_Alive@wroughttt@scoopydont I wonder if you can even recognize how racist you are. Like is it so deep that it doesn’t even register that you’re talking about human beings?
