IF NOT US, WHO?
IF NOT NOW, WHEN !
I will be joining the CJP members in Delhi on 6th June if nothing changes by 5th June. Any self respecting Minister should resign if things go so wrong... Not to mention the effect on millions of young lives and in fact the future of India.

Tamil Nadu has chosen.
A new generation. A new voice. A new imagination.
My good wishes to Thiru Vijay - may he fulfil the hopes of the people of Tamil Nadu.
Congratulations to the people of Tamil Nadu for voting for change, because change is necessary. Although Stalin Sir has also done a tremendous job.
Meanwhile, Bengal and Assam will likely continue under the same monotonous BJP-led rule.
Spring has finally arrived and so has the breathtaking apricot blossom, offering a true visual treat of soft pink and white petals spread across Ladakh's valleys. Come celebrate the #ApricotBlossomFestival, known locally as ‘Chuli Mentok Stanmo’ with us from April 8-16, 2026
#WATCH | Leh: Ladakh-based climate activist Sonam Wangchuk says, "I am feeling very good. After 170 days, coming to these mountains and meeting people, I hope that a new sun will rise for the cause for which we are working. We are moving forward with hope. We hope that there will be such an atmosphere from all sides, and I would like to thank the people of the entire country who supported us in this struggle. Looking forward to meeting people."
The nation owes an apology to @Wangchuk66.- and to all the Ladakhis.
We were mocked, dismissed and called all kinds of names by the usual suspects.
But today’s development marks a historic victory for the people of Ladakh!!!
Jai Hind!

#WATCH | Leh, Ladakh: On Sonam Wangchuk's release, Legal Advisor, Apex Body Mustafa Haji says, "... It's a great day for Ladakh and Sonam Wangchuk, as the NSA has been revoked by the Centre—a long-awaited step... Wangchuk has faced baseless accusations. He was unjustly detained in Jodhpur Jail since 26 September, which was a grave injustice. His release today is welcomed, as there was no case against him, and the people of Ladakh, known for their peaceful protests, have supported his cause..."
As someone who has spent years studying water systems in the Himalayas, I want to offer a perspective on frozen lake marathons that goes beyond the “awareness” argument.
The Netherlands had its beloved Elfstedentocht, a 200km skating marathon over frozen canals. It hasn’t been held since 1997. The ice stopped coming. Did decades of visibility save those canals? It didn’t. It became a case study not of awareness, but of what we’ve lost.
Norway runs its frozen lake marathon at 819m. Baikal sits at sea level. These are thick, resilient ice systems in stable continental climates. Now compare that to a high-altitude lake at 4,350m in one of the most climate-sensitive zones on Earth, the Himalayan cryosphere. Comparing these events is like comparing a bruise to an open wound. The fragility is not the same. The stakes are not the same.
I’ve walked these landscapes. I’ve measured what’s changing. The springs are shifting. The wells are deepening. The rhythms that sustained communities for centuries are breaking quietly, without headlines, without marathons.
When the ice stops forming, there won’t be a nostalgic documentary. There will be dry wells, dying wetlands, and communities without water. That is not a metaphor. That is the lived reality of people in these mountains.
Awareness is not the problem. We have enough awareness. What we lack is restraint the courage to say some places are not stages, some silences are not empty, and some ice is too fragile for even our good intentions. I don’t question anyone’s love for these landscapes. I question our belief that every form of love must leave a footprint. Sometimes the deepest act of care is absence.
