My last post was on November 12.
At that time, I had no idea I would be gone for the next nine months. The truth is, I didn't leave because I got bored with X or ran out of things to say. I left because I was facing the toughest time of my life.
Some things in my personal life fell apart. My mental health hit a low point I had never experienced before. My physical health declined as well, and I ended up in the hospital. I stopped working on a project I really believed in, even though it had actual users. For a while, I just stopped showing up.
There were days when I genuinely didn't know how to keep going. Even my birthday, a day that used to mean something, became one of the hardest days of the year.
Friends showed up when I needed them most. My faith gave me something to hold on to, and I slowly started to feel like I could move forward again.
Getting back into work gave me something to focus on again. it didn't solve everything but it help me move forward. I got to collaborate with different teams, and recently assigned to developer team for a new project. It reminded me that even when life feels stuck, it won't stay that way forever.
Things aren't perfect and I am not pretending they are. but I don't want to wait until life is perfect before I start showing up again.
I’m still recovering. I’m still figuring things out. I’m probably a very different person from who I was when I posted that last tweet nine months ago. Life humbled me in ways I never expected.
One thing these months taught me is that the people who stay matter much more than those who leave.
If you're still here, thank you.
I look forward to sharing what I'm building, what I'm learning, and whatever comes next.
