@csferrie And honestly, I don't have the confidence that'll happen, given humanity's penchant for crowd mentality to one extreme or another.
I keep hoping, though π
@csferrie I truly believe that the main threat with AI and by extension, chatGPT, is not the AI itself, but the human response of either baseless fear or complete ignorance by choice.
It needs professionals to assess the risks and take appropriate (not disproportionate) countermeasures.
@pearlythingz I agree that cam work is perfectly respectable, but the Tate situation isn't just about cam work. I recommend this excellent video about what they're actually convicted of, and why (it's worth the time even just to listen to it while you do something else)

@JeriLRyan The "let's start it" infuriates me
The stench of entitlement and egocentrism is strong on this one, as it is on Musk and literally anyone else on the Debate Me Bro Brigade.
@MrBeast@ColinandSamir Honestly those copycats are also missing the whole point of what you said. You gave really awesome tips to help someone succeed in making their own style of content (e.g. watching vids & taking notes about how viewers react/feel to parts of the video, when attention wanes etc.)
@MrBeast@ColinandSamir Thank you for adding this! I understand that there'd be a level of regret but copycats are gonna copycat no matter what you do or don't share
But, as a smol creator, I really appreciated everything you discussed, and the fact it wasn't paygated content either π
@hankgreen It probably will go back to normal
But
The anxiety is VERY fuckin real, and is genuinely one of the worst things about a new illness (especially for analytical folks like us) bc you don't have a baseline to compare to, & there are too many questions and variables to logic through
@M_Zot_ike@hankgreen I truly love that you just validated Hank's entire point with this reply.
Please do continue to be an absolute caricature of a debate me bro, it's beautiful π
@JuddLegum@RogerFreedman@elonmusk it was excellent for academics/nerds. one of the best platforms for deep discussion and networking - things musk pretends to care about - but his inability to understand the true ramifications of his actions has left it in tatters.
i hold onto vestigial hope that it'll return
