You can also clap your hands (if you’re happy and you know it) to let any bears know you're coming through. In conclusion, have fun, be safe, and hike smart. Hey, bear!

Amazing send off today for our grandad, Watty Sullivan. From all who sent kind words of condolence, to the Standing ovation and Guard of Honour in the Grange Golf Club. Our family whole heartedly Thank You 💖@GrangeGolfClub1@IrishGolferMag@IrishGolfDesk@padraig_h@mcginleygolf
"Golf's a wonderful sport, and anybody who takes it up falls in love with it. My advice? Be honest, be happy and enjoy every moment." Wattie Sullivan followed his own advice and had a good life for it. RIP

@stephdoyle87@IrishGolfDesk@GrangeGolfClub1 My Dad….Dinny McDonnell worked in Grange for many many years and was a great friend of Watty ….I remember him myself giving lessons beside ‘sheds’ on 18th fairway…..A thorough Gentleman ….rip watty
@stephdoyle87@IrishGolfDesk@GrangeGolfClub1 Steph, very sad to hear of your Granddad's passing. Wattie was the pied piper to generations of golfers especially in Grange. We absorbed his love of golf and people. We had great times with him and Bridie but more importantly we had great fun. RIP Wattie.
@stephdoyle87@simondoylept@IrishGolfDesk@GrangeGolfClub1 I cannot tell you how much fun I had with Wattie. His humour was contagious and there is no doubt he had an influence on my personal and professional life. I shall raise a glass of champagne to Wattie today. RIP W.

@stephdoyle87@IrishGolfDesk@GrangeGolfClub1 So sad to hear this. As a kid learning golf, Wattie was a kind gentle soul, always generous with his time & humour; we did John Wayne impressions together! The wise words (& jokes) during lessons, his old workshop, so many great memories.
Sincere condolences to all the family.
So sad to hear of the passing of Wattie. Like all great teachers he was great sports psychologist before his time. I still have his sayings ringing around my head. He was a really nice player too. RIP Wattie Sullivan.
