There's not much more than can be written about this year's WVU baseball story. It was a team that overachieved in a mighty way.
The immediate picture shows a team vying for a national championship. However, the bigger picture shows the unity and togetherness WVU baseball brought to the state.
The Mountaineers unified a state and gave the fan base something to latch onto, as the fans have been trying to find something to attach themselves to and hold onto.
The applause and cheering sounds loud in late May and early June, but the noise should be consistent during the early months of the season that leads to a late season run.
Don't take for granted what this baseball team achieved. Latch onto it and don't let go.
- 47 total wins (program record)
- 21 Big 12 wins (program record)
- First ever College World Series appearance
- Reached College World Series Semifinals
Lot to be proud of. This team never stopped fighting. WVU Baseball isn’t going anywhere.
The best season in program history has come to a close.
Thank you to all the fans who cheered us on from Morgantown all the way to Omaha. We felt your presence throughout the season and we would not be anything without all of your support.
See everyone in 2027.

A reminder of what my former school @CCUChanticleers had to do back in 2016 when they won it all as 1st time participants 👇@U92_FM
