I continue to be so impressed by Rachel Richardson. Despite being thrust into the spotlight for an awful reason, this athlete has become a spokesperson for change in sport. We all need to work harder to create spaces where all athletes feel safe, valued and cared for.
Today, we remember Lori Piestewa, the first Native American Woman to die in combat, leaving behind her parents & 2 children. We recognize her ultimate sacrifice, a testament to the strength of our Native women veterans. Our women are warriors, & we are thankful for their service.
