Seems fitting to post this on #WorldEnvironmentDay2020 especially given this week marked 91% of our UK farmer owners submitting their climate check data ๐๐. A big step in helping each farm know how to reduce its carbon footprint, because no two farms are the same #teamdairy
Proud to be supporting the NHS! ๐๐
As a part of Arlaโs #GivingGoodness pledge to help those who need it most, weโre working with @FareShareUK & @Food4Heroes1 to donate enough @Lurpak portions to spread buttery smiles on 4 million slices of toast.

Planes have stopped, cars have stopped, the world as a whole has pretty much stopped and the Co2 levels have dropped.
Yet the farmers havenโt stopped. Theyโre still getting up to milk the cows, the lambing sheds are in full swing, the cattle are still being fed,
the crops are being drilled, yet the Co2 has dropped. Maybe agriculture isnโt quite as bad as the media have been making out.....maybe the world isnโt going to end just because of our livestock, maybe, just maybe agriculture is actually going to be the thing to save everyone when
Dung. Dropping. Poop๐ฉ Call it what you like, but a word we DONโT use about cowsโ excrements is WASTE. It makes plants grow and can be transformed into biogas that lights up houses and fuels trucks. More about how weโre accelerating CO2e reductions on farm https://t.co/67p7J5tIA3
What emits the most: cow farts or cow burps? ๐๐จ Letโs clear the air. When a cow digests food it produces a natural gas called methane. This happens in the cowโs stomach, not its intestines. This is why most of the methane from cows is released through burps. Not farts.
We are proud our farmer owners already produce milk with less than half the emissions compared to global dairy production. Now they will
use big data to identify where there is room for improvement to help accelerate our journey towards #carbonnetzero https://t.co/LlNthXlUfh
