A principle I’ve observed in following the leading of the Holy Spirit:
If I start moving in the direction of God’s leading, He will bring the relationships I need to accomplish what He’s asking me to do. (Often right under my nose).
He nudges. I move. Help comes.
Thrilled to get to hear from @NijayKGupta on key NT debates in our @WesternSeminary cohort today. So appreciate @gbreshears’ pastoral leadership in exposing us to a wide spectrum of thoughtful, Jesus-loving scholars.
Here are six books I’m currently reading that no one asked me to post about (prepping to write and teach an Ephesians Bible study for COTM with some friends).
Charnock: “A greater distance cannot be imagined than that which is between nothing and something; that which hath no being, and that which hath. A greater power cannot be imagined than that which brings something out of nothing.”

Heavily inspired (and strongly encouraged) by @jenniferwilkin, @jt_english and
@villagechurchtx, we’re launching test groups (in 2 weeks) for our first women’s and men’s Bible studies: Gospel of John Part 1: A Gospel of Signs (John 1-12).
Interested? DM me for details. 🤫
Tonight @churchonthemove has the true privilege of hearing from @beckypippert — a gift to the Church and a true hero of the faith.
Becky has been a consistent voice of inspiration and practical wisdom, empowering everyday Christians to live out the mission of God. So grateful!

Common Identity Lies:
1| I am what I have.
2| I am what I do.
3| I am what other people say or think of me.
4| I am nothing more than my worst moment.
5| I am nothing less than my best moment.

the whole house awakes...”
This article is a great exercise in blowing up our hidden modern Western assumptions when approaching any ancient Biblical text.
We regret to inform you that Jesus was not born in a stable. In fact, he was almost certainly surrounded by extended family (and, yes, animals!): https://t.co/KZPgWUZLC9
I love how Peter closes his first letter to a marginal and slandered community (1 Pet 5:6-8a)
