@Uncle2Triplets Are you people now using the voice of that delta state guy brutally shot dead buy the police to make comic sound now?
Is it that you people are cursed to joke with everything Abi na my ear 👂 dey pain me?
I was in a cab on my way to work one morning when the driver pointed at a mechanic's workshop by the roadside and smiled.
He said, "You see that man? People used to laugh at him because his hands were always black with engine oil. They called him 'ordinary mechanic' as if it was an insult."
I looked through the window and saw a man under a car, completely focused on his work.
The driver continued.
"Last month, that same 'ordinary mechanic' quietly bought three plots of land beside the expressway. Cash."
"Meanwhile, some of the people who mocked him are still in their WhatsApp group arguing over who will contribute for house rent."
For a few seconds, nobody in the cab said a word.
I picked something from that story:
Never judge a person's success by how clean their clothes are or how dirty their hands look.
Some people wear suits but are drowning in debt.
Others wear stained overalls while building generational wealth.
Never confuse appearance with prosperity.
Some wealth don't wear designer blazers and perfumes.

No truer words.
Financial help changes lives. Sometimes, it only reveals character.
When someone is genuinely ready to change their situation, they see support as an opportunity. They maximize every resource, every connection, and every sacrifice made on their behalf.
But when someone isn't ready, even the best help becomes "pressure," accountability becomes "control," and gratitude quickly turns into resentment.
The painful part is not the money lost. It's realizing that the person who cried for help wasn't as committed to changing their situation as you were.
Help people, but don't carry their ambition for them.
A phone can be gifted. Data can be paid for. Courses can be provided.
But discipline and responsibility cannot be transferred.
Not everyone who needs help is ready for help.
A friend of mine had been jobless for almost two years. Two months ago, she called me crying and sounding depressed.
I asked what she needed.
She said a phone to learn copywriting and ads creation.
I bought her a ₦200,000 phone, paid for a one-year MTN subscription, and gave her access to my YouTube account.
This lady has downloaded over 100 movies.
When I called to ask if she was learning, she told me I wanted to become her lord and saviour because I "helped her a little."
We haven't spoken in a week.
Total spend: close to ₦500,000.
The fastest way to lose a friend is to help them financially🥺🥺
