@PopeLeoXIIIStan Yes - I’ll help protect his/her rights, even if they misuse that right to sin. If God is willing to allow us free will, who am I to stand in a sinners way?
But don’t expect me to stand on the corner waving a rainbow flag expressing it’s ok!
Sin is not ok, never will be!
@gonefishin1948 I loved the idea put forth by the Truthly App - Peter as the Authority and Paul as the one who Spread the Gospel throughout the known world - the bridge between the old Jewish tradition and the new Way…
@MrCasey62 Wife heard a priest proclaim he had a prayer for everything - she said “yeah - what about over underwear?” He said as a matter of fact he did and pulled it up on his phone.
It was for an older gentleman who suffered from incontinence…🤷
@sarahtexe Show my id in one hand and offer the other for a pat on the back….
BTW in MS, I will already have my ID out as it is required here - ever heard of a “hanging chad” in MS?
Apparently not…. They saw it more of a feel good ceremony they wanted their closest friends to be a part of. Fortunately the pastor was right - but without a good bedside manner, after I was able to do some more prep - they realized their error. The atheist was at the baptism and I took the opportunity to catechize a little.
Later he joked about getting struck by lightning if there was a God and I quickly commented the he misunderstood our Father’s love and forgiveness… and if that wasn’t enough, that we did have lightning rods on the roof just for those type of situations, so he was safe as long as he was in the Lord’s house…. His buddy (father of child) added “I guess that means you can never leave!”
Protestants: "The Bible is against infant baptism."
The Bible: Lydia’s whole household was baptized.
Also the Bible:
- The jailer and his whole household were baptized.
- Stephanas’ household was baptized.
Guess what the Scripture never said: "Except the children."
