I am extraordinarily proud of @natoshabenning for completing her UX Course (including UI specialty) through @careerfoundry! It's been a long, pandemic-slogged road; her perseverence to make this happen while trying to educate a child at home and run our house is extraordinary.
We are currently looking to examine how the community's reaction to December 6 compares to 1 October and figure out what needs might be present over the next year. Our study is located at https://t.co/Buycq1mv7T & is open to members of the UNLV and broader Las Vegas communities.
Thank you to @RyanMattheyNews for allowing me to spread word about the effects UNLV's mass shooting may have had on people based on our 1 October study. Emotions are likely to be jangled for the next few weeks to months; please let survivors connect. https://t.co/V2NhTK6iNd

@sarahjlage @Amber_R_Dixon And thank you for your thoughts, Sarah. There will likely be more information coming in the following weeks and months; the motives of this shooter are relatively clearer than the last one in the immediate aftermath.
Thank you @Amber_R_Dixon for hosting us. I wish I could say these are unprecedented times. But for Las Vegas, they're not. This is the second mass shooting since I've been here, the first on our campus. Here's what I expect for our community from our Route 91 shooting study. 1/

@Amber_R_Dixon Will things be the same after this shooting as the last? I don't know. Certain cultural factors likely will be; I don't know whether the psychological effects will be similar. More work needs to be done in this area across disciplines to foster healing. 7/7
@Amber_R_Dixon Criticism will amplify people's distress within 1.5 months, and support will increase their well-being in the same timeframe. Conversely, criticism will wear down people's well-being after 6 months, whereas support will reduce their symptoms in the same timeframe. 6/
I've sent out about 2600 codes for B l u e S k y to members of the chronic illness and disability communities. Because requests have slowed and I have lots of donated codes, I've shut down donations for now. Please spread the word that codes are available. https://t.co/tcbsLl8ZIP
