@lisakeb007@FondOfBeetles We are all told how to live by beaucrats all the time. The roll out of car centric cities took place without any explicit visble decision. There was lobbying behind the scenes by the automobile and oil industries though. He is merely complaining about a change.
@speakoutsister Parkrun recieves funding, so belongs to Sharron, and all women, just as much as much as belongs to you. Why shouldn't they expect it to be fair inclusive and law abiding?
@ThomasWillett9@billybragg D'you also think NHS Fife & Durham & Darlington NHS were wasting our money on vanity projects?
They could have just obeyed the law, or avoided incurring legal costs by conceding their error and apologising
And what about users who self exclude from ponds due to current policy?
I took BBC London out on the River Roding to illustrate the challenges faced in making rivers in the capital swimmable; looking at the many ways we have abused our rivers, but also the way they still retain so much natural beauty & wonder.
We wandered through Londonโs largest expanses of tidal reedbeds, bird song competing with the drone of the North Circular, & examined an illegal sewage outfall & the huge amounts of rubbish scattered along the river. These challenges are difficult, but they can be solved with imagination & hard work. We need river guardians whose sole focus is the protection, care & restoration of the river.
@bencooper@sharrond62 it wasn't until 1972 that uk foreign office removed the marrige bar on married women working for them (home civil service did so in 1946). & 1975 that a single woman could legally not be denied the right to open a bank account and get a mortgage. So only last c. 50 years. insane
@HopepunkQ @Fr4nkie_Spence @haloleisure That's a dangerous take. It's not anti trans. It's about providing suitable services that take account of protected characteristic sex, & the manifest needs linked to that characteristic. You would open the door to/empower businesses which ignored the needs of trans service user
@ZackPolanski What do you mean, culture war? For 15 years institutions have misapplied the law. You stand in elections? Do you not believe in democracy? What about Solidarity Always with women who have been vilified for demanding the legal protections parliament intended?
@michaelpforan I presume that trustees of organisations with charity status may find themselves facing personal liability if it can be shown they acted recklessly in failing to take account of the SC ruling?
@ZackPolanski@TheGreenParty So focus on those more important things. The law hasn't changed in over a decade. Th SC has just ruled & made it clear to everyone. The Greens & stonewall legal interpretation was wrong, yet have said "no debate" for that whole time. Why insist on a distracting debate now?
@TimesRadio@carla_denyer@StigAbell Carla, you a leader of a democratic party, "seeing research" is different to securing an expert view.
You should expand the people involved in selecting what you see. The overwhelming body of evidence is clear that advantage exists and persists.
Also respect the Law.
@carla_denyer@TheGreenParty It's sad you & green party try to undermine checks and balances that underpin democracy. The law should help limit the power of the political executive
Also to be a political force you need support of those who dont believe in gender. be brave, respect both sides.
@JessicaLBarnard The nature of our democracy means he cannot ignore the supreme court ruling. Democracy requires the law to be applied in accordence with what is written. As a labour NEC member, it's worrying you don't grasp/defend that.
As PM He could bring forward new law.
@FondOfBeetles@SecEd_Education@thecassreview It may be worth directly addressing the publisher with those corrections.

They claim to link specialist audiences with critical information, so would hopefully welcome your knowledge and experience.
@WomensRightsNet@stjohnambulance Interestingly they appear to have redizxovered and added the word 'women' into the actual Web page text.
But the text within the link text remains 'people with breasts'. !

@RabbiSamStern@GadSaad Have you lost your mind. Or you are maybe putting on rose tinted glasses when you look in a particular direction. An air strike on civilains is calculated and deliberate. And the resultant civilian death is extremely easy to forecast, and is therefore entirely predicable.
@BeckerLabCRTD @SophieMolly_OFF No, but it is very plausible that in elections where all candidates on the Liberal left are captured by trans ideology, that the door to govt might be left wide open to a candidate on the right wing
