One of the things that just baffles me as a fellow in NYC is the amount of scut work residents do in this city. Transporting patients, drawing labs/cultures, etc. Such unnecessary work that overburden residents and diminishes learning and actual doctoring.
@UCSF_cls CLS is now charging trainees to park on nights, wkends, holidays when responding to emergencies. Young Drs who work 80hrs/wk, make ~75-80k and are trying to make ends meet in an expensive city during a rough pandemic, now asked to pay to do their job. Do the right thing Joe & CLS
A truly momentous day at San Francisco General Hospital @ZSFGCare@UCSF @SFGHFoundation: for the first time since March 5, 2020, we have zero patients with #COVID19 in our hospital. A huge milestone in our battle against this pandemic.

Strange and foreboding orange skies and a layer of falling ash greeted Bay Area residents as they woke on Wednesday, rubbing their eyes and wondering if they’d awoken on a different planet — and pondering just how long the daylight dimness would last. https://t.co/VoXXF6FMw1
@NilsOlson3 Thank you for entrusting your son's care with us at UCSF Maxillofacial Surgery. Nicholas was a pleasure to treat and I can't wait for him to get back on the field and shine!
Salute the national leadership by @UCSF ophthalmologists in their call for end to #rubberbullets against protestors. Can result in #blindness & other severe eye injuries-even death. So why use them? Hundreds across the country have already signed. https://t.co/fntlT6C4sQ

When White Coats 4 Black Lives started calling for police violence to be recognized as a public health issue 5 years ago, the mainstream academic and medical community did not want to listen.
Racism isn’t worse, we’re just more conscious of it as a collective. #MedTwitter
