If you are concerned at least a little bit about the anti-Asian hate going on now, you may get heartened by the courage and perseverance Asian Immigrants muster to make it in America, as portrayed in #Minari.

Inspiring #whitecoat ceremony this wk for one of most diverse @UCSFMedicine classes. Activism critical in #COVID19 times. Fave line from @UCSF version:
"I will strive to change laws..contrary to my profession’s ethics & will work towards a fair distribution of health resources"
I’m extremely sad with the lost of Paul Rutgeerts. Undoubtedly one of the greatest name in the IBD field from all times. Beside that a very kind man. We used to talk a lot to each other every time we met. I’ll miss him. The IBD world will miss him. Everybody will.
Congrats to my son, Dr. @StephenCYang. A virtual graduation @NYUDental in no way does him justice, but I am proud of him for persevering through these difficult times. Best of luck to Stephen as he begins medical school and residency training in Maxillofacial Surgery at @UCSF !
We lost 84 New Yorkers to COVID-19 yesterday. By any normal standard this is a hideous number. But we are thankful this number has fallen below 100 for the first time since late March.
My simple “take homes” for #IBD pts. Stay on meds(including biologics) to stay in remission. If flaring, start meds to induce remission. Try to avoid high dose steroids (limit time >20 mg pred). If you get Coronavirus we tailor meds. IBD does not increase risk of getting #COVID19
Today we are releasing additional preliminary results from our statewide antibody survey.
The survey shows that 12.3% of the state population is positive for COVID-19 antibodies, from an expanded sample size of 15,000.
(Results are weighted.)
Today, the entire country of Korea had only 4 new COVID cases - all picked up at the airport in travelers coming into the country - suggesting no community spread. I hope this continues 🤞- a glimmer of hope for the rest of the world. I wish we had their PPE though. #COVID19
