It’s been exactly a week since I spoke here.
One minute, you're in the thick of your final year project, wondering what life after school looks like; the next, you're speaking to over 2500 students who have now set foot into the same stream.
Life really comes at you so fast.

Card payments feel seamless because complex systems work in the background.
Yesterday, I moderated our Internal Knowledge Session across the SystemSpecs Group on The Hidden Mechanics of Card Payments, expertly facilitated by Rilwan Sanni.
This is Day 1.
Stepped into the office the other day and found this gift bag on my desk, with a handwritten note from my manager.
Grateful for leadership that recognises effort and excellence.
Happy Valentine's Day to you! 💐
I know this is one of the good old days we'll someday be talking about. So, I'm sharing this here to be able to look back on it and reflect when the time comes.
We keep building!
Our graphics designer at Proxpert sent in her resignation on 31 December. She'll be wrapping up on 1 February. It's the first time anyone on the team is leaving, and I won't lie, it felt queerly similar to a breakup. Young founder realities, I guess.
We've grown this brand together for over two years, through different seasons. I honestly didn't know what to say beyond thanking her for the work, the commitment, and wishing her the very best in whatever she's stepping into next.
Often, we see aspiring authors say things like, “I want to launch it on my birthday” or “Can it be ready before my wedding anniversary?”
Sometimes, these targets/deadlines are barely up to a month. Our advice is simple: don’t sacrifice the intent for the fun.
They say not to judge a book by its cover, but that advice rarely stands in publishing. Long before anyone reads your book, they’ve already formed an opinion about it. The colours, the layout, the overall feel; everything is communicating something. First impressions matter.
