This West Ham squad better than the one that got relegated with Michael Carrick, David James, Joe Cole, Ian Pearce, Jermain Defoe, Trevor Sinclair, Glen Johnson, Paolo Di Canio, Les Ferdinand, Freddie Kanoute and Steve Lomas? Thoughts…
@JamieHoskins15@nick_lowery@BennyG2002 Losing games affects confidence, and in then loss of belief in the approach. Normally see a lack of effort creeping into players game. Results build confidence, performances help. performance without a result will still have a negative impact after a while. It’s a tough balance.
@JamieHoskins15@nick_lowery@BennyG2002 That’s fair enough, that’s more my understanding of the West Ham Way and I’m sure the majority wouldn’t complain if that made up the team. I do think we have those in the current team.
The danger of “giving it a go” and attacking everyone is you may lose games.
@JamieHoskins15@nick_lowery@BennyG2002 What is the West Ham Way, everyone seems to have a different opinion on what it is. And when was the last time we played that way, consistently?
@olly04389175 @westhamonline5 @WHUFC_News They go on loan to experience the pressures of first team/results football. To see if they can still perform as they do in training when they have the crowd and pressure of getting results on them. Why have academies and full time training if all you had to do is play matches?
@olly04389175 @westhamonline5 @WHUFC_News It doesn’t improve them by playing. They improve by training. If their touch is off/miss chances in the game they go to the training pitch to improve not work on it or try different things during the game.
I’m not saying they don’t deserve time on the pitch, if they are ready.
@olly04389175 @westhamonline5 @WHUFC_News You develop and improve on the training pitch. a match day is the end result. You don’t develop and learn how to play or improve technique through matches. if he started he would have contact of the ball for less than 5mins over the whole game hard to improve in that time.
@E20WHU @StuartDillon1 All great players. But how many would play regular in a top 4 team, as that’s the next level we all want? 2 or 3? All are good enough for their squad but would some be just squad players?
@uptonclark@WestHamMatters Need to remember, Leicester went to the next level, won the league did well in champions league, now in the championship and got through a fair few managers.
@uptonclark@WestHamMatters Agree, everyone loves a buzz word. What’s next level? Top 4, Top 6. What happens when that man doesn’t achieve it, sacked? We could have a lot of manager changes coming up if we are competing with City, Arsenal, Utd, Chelsea, Spurs, Newcastle, Brighton, Liverpool, plus Villa.
Fantastic feedback again. So exciting seeing Jamie's progress and importantly enjoy developing his game. Keep working hard Jamie. Only a few sessions available for next week so book quick.

@thebiasedhammer@WestHamMatters Not sure I sat there and thought we played great football that year we got relegated with those great entertainers in the team. Sure there were plenty of frustrating performances, I’m sure we didn’t dominate games and relied on flashes of brilliance. Bit like vs Brighton.
