Ecotherapy, also known as nature therapy, is an umbrella term for therapy programs and guided nature-based activities intended to improve mental health. Studies show that within limits, ecotherapy can improve self-control, social and emotional skills, and even employability.
Studies consistently show that people who live with generosity at the center of their lives tend to live longer, think more clearly, and feel more at peace.
It's good to be good. Not just for the world around you — but for you.
Here's something worth sitting with — the science of giving. When you show up for others, your brain lights up. Your stress goes down. Your sense of purpose goes up.
Norman Rockwell didn't just paint a scene — he painted a feeling, a meeting of minds, where people from all different backgrounds are focused on one thing: contributing to the lives of others.
It leads us to ask… what if we loved without condition? Without transaction?
Former heart patients who volunteer to help current patients live longer.
That's not inspiration. That's data.
States with high volunteer rates have lower mortality and heart disease rates.
Purpose isn't just good for the soul—it's good for the heart.

Respect means to "look twice"—from Latin respectare, to re-look and take someone's perspective seriously.
True respect honors people's choices and autonomy. It sees them not as problems to fix, but as whole human beings worthy of dignity.

Our brains can't process love and hatred simultaneously. When kindness lights up, bitterness shuts down.
This is neuroscience, not just spirituality.

In the evening, I ask myself seven questions:
Did I give with kindness?
Did I speak as a healer?
Did I stay true to my callings?
Did I set an example?
Did I maintain awareness?
Did I feel awe in nature?
Did I honor my responsibilities?

Awe has the power to humble us—to pull us out of our small worries and remind us we're part of something infinite.
Nature offers this gift freely, if we're willing to slow down and receive it.
—Pure Unlimited Love: Science and the Seven Paths to Inner Peace
Step into nature. Something shifts.
Mental chatter quiets. Linear thinking dissolves into pure presence. The soul finds nourishment.
Through awe, we remember we're part of something infinitely greater than our worries.
Sometimes the most productive thing is simply being.
An ocean of stillness and peace exists within you.
When you connect with it, bitterness dissolves. Rumination fades. Hostility recedes.
True inner peace comes from trusting the unlimited love that's always been there, waiting for you to remember.

Eastern spirituality sees the One Mind as the source of all things. Our minds are part of it—nonlocal, beyond time and place. Hindu texts call this “the Supreme.” I first took this seriously through Robert Bly, and later, a young Steve Jobs—devoted to Autobiography of a Yogi.
“Your calling does not have to be grand or spectacular externally. It only has to connect with the heart.”

Arrogance is exhausting—it requires defending a false sense of superiority.
Humility frees us to be authentic, to admit mistakes, to heal, and to love.
There is joy and kindness in humility.

I recently joined Passion Struck with John R. Miles to talk about Pure Unlimited Love—not as sentiment, but as practice.
Love begins when another’s well-being becomes as real as our own.
That shift can change how we live, serve, and heal.

A study of high school students found that just one hour of volunteering per week lowered inflammation, cholesterol, and BMI—while improving empathy and mental health.
Small acts of service can measurably improve adolescent health.
