Somewhere, someone alive today could be the first one cured of Alzheimer’s.
Across the world, more than 150 drugs are in clinical trials. A cure is now in sight - only research will get us there faster.

A huge thank you to @MRitchieSD for supporting our calls to improve #dementia diagnosis & treatment.
Speaking in @UKHouseofLords yesterday, Baroness Ritchie asked when the Government will set an 18-week target for everyone with dementia to get a care plan.

Hello everyone! 👋
I'm Bessie, a 37-year-old advocate for @Voiceability. I've been with Voiceability for just over seven months, and I'll be taking over the X account today for #AdvocacyAwarenessWeek.
I’m looking forward to sharing some information about me and what I do.
We're very disappointed there was no commitment to bring forward a #MentalHealthBill to reform the #MentalHealthAct in today's #KingsSpeech.
It is failing people in mental health hospitals across the country.

Absolutely gutted that the Mental Health Bill was not included in todays Kings Speech.
Nearly 5 years ago we proudly presented our review into the Mental Health Act, believing that change could happen. Today it feels so far away and my heart is in pain. #mentalhealthactreview
🚨 Reforming the Mental Health Act was a 2019 Conservative manifesto pledge. Four years on, we're still waiting.
It’s unthinkable that a reform which has achieved wide consensus and would help so many people, could be dropped.
This can't happen on your watch @rishisunak.
🚨 We need your help 🚨
Parliament will close for the summer tomorrow. We're running out of time to reform the Mental Health Act before the next election.
Share this post to demand that @rishisunak and the government reform this outdated act.
