Nice to catch up with a Corn Bunting today at Thornborough Henges @NosterfieldLNR I didn’t manage to see one last year sadly such a declining bird, but lovely to see and hear the song again 😁 @nybirdnews@teesbirds1
@GeoffRobertson9@nybirdnews@twitcherspud@teesbirds1 Hi Geoff, this pair has a nest @twitcherspud farmyard (Hudswell) I know he’s still busy lambing but worth sending a DM to him, they’ll be the easiest to see otherwise they are around the area (mostly on Spuds Mod land) so can be tricky. Hope this helps
Nice to spend some time watching @twitcherspud Redstarts back & forth feeding the little ones, seemed to be providing plenty of grub for them 👍🤪😀 @nybirdnews@teesbirds1
Very distant and mobile (for my pics) but fabulous to see these White-Winged Black Terns at Nosterfield (well Ladybridge) this evening, still seemed to be feeding well in the mizzle ☔️🤪 @nybirdnews@teesbirds1@NosterfieldLNR
Always a joy to wander up “Surrender bridge” although the weather was rather changeable 🌞☔️💨 still plenty to see:- Ring Ouzel, Wheatear, Stonechat, Reed Bunting, Grey Wagtail, Red Grouse, Golden Plover, Oystercatcher, Curlew, Lapwing to mention a few 🤪 @nybirdnews@teesbirds1
A wander over the other side of the valley today and the first Cuckoo of the year 😁 (although distant) Wheatear, Redstart, Red Grouse, Grey Partridge, Lapwing, Curlew, Skylark, Mistle Thrush and a rather late Fieldfare to mention just a few 😜 @nybirdnews@teesbirds1
Really enjoyed spending some time with the wonderful Yellow Wagtails at Castle lake (Bishop Middleham) this morning, even I managed to get a pic or two 🤪😄 @nybirdnews@teesbirds1@DurhamBirdClub
